Well, spring has officially sprung and so have our four-legged family members! The horses are snorting, running and jumping while the cats are sneaking here and there casing the windows, hunting and flying as fast as their four little feet can go ~ up and down the staircases and in and behind the drapes and blinds. Yep, spring has definitely arrived. Anyone else noticed their furbodies coming alive with the change of the seasons?

No difference for my dog. He likes any warm, sunny day when he can roll around in the grass. He is not happy today......we had snow last nite and his rope is somewhat frozen to the ground. At 50 lbs he could easily free it but he won't pull on it! What a silly dog!!

Thai hasn't given me much trouble about running outside until this past week. We have had some nice days so he wants to enjoy the outdoors too! Our horses do not care for the breezy days so like yours, Idaho, have been rather frisky. ![]()

Well, after watching "My Cat From H e l l " (anyone ever seen that show? It's on Animal Planet), I was inspired to try once again to get Callie to walk outside on a leash. Yes, the kitties are both indoor cats but we have a 2nd floor deck that DADDY got them interested in a couple years ago...and they've never forgotten it. Lola, will stay on the deck and be fine and happy. Callie, on the other hand will not...at least not for long. She will inevitably jump overth gate and down the stairs she flies! Usually after a bird or some other moving object. So I guess my thought was to be ABLE to take her out but only with the leash attached to ME!(or dad since he's the one who started it).lol So anyway, I got the leash...it's actually a harness for cats...on her. But she hates it. I swear she acts like it weighs 500 lbs! It's one of the funniest things I've ever seen! She will take a step or two then fall over. Or step then squat down. I'm probably embarrassing her because I'm laughing so hard at her antics! We stayed out about 10 minutes or so. She did well for her first time, but she has a ways to go before I can actually "walk" her. Cal is so strong willed that this idea may or may not work. Plus, she fussed about the whole ordeal the entire time. I'll keep trying I guess. Oh yeah, our windows and sliding glass doors have been very popular lately with both girls. They LOVE watching the birds! Both of ours "chatter" at the birds, but Lola's chatter always turns into a yawn! Too funny.
