My 7 yr.old Sadie is acting strange. Here's the scoop. She sleeps w/us, gets up when I do.She usually goes outside, does her business, & comes right back in,she only stays out when I do. Yesterday, she went out, kinda walked around the deck in circles & sat down, in the pouring rain! I called her to come in & she just looked at me. I had to go out, pick her up & bring her in. Same thing today. Did not attempt to go into the yard. She usually than comes in & sits on my lap while I read the paper. Both days, shes gone right down into the FR & lays on the couch. She is always near when I eat breakfast, both days, no where in sight! She has been on seizure meds all her life--maybe a connection to this behavior?? Any thoughts ??? Thanks Smile

Since it has continued now for two days, I think a call in to your vet might be in order.

Has she been eliminating normally? Drinking, eating?

I agree. Time to take her into the vet's for an evaluation right away. Why has she "been on seizure meds all her life"?

Sounds to me like her dose needs to be adjusted. Get her to the vet today.

Thx all...after 2 days she was back to normal. She started having seizures when she was a puppy, so she gets meds 2x's a day to control them. It has helped alot. The seizures are down to maybe 1 every couple months now, (use to be a couple a month!) She was at the vet last month for her yearly blood work & everythig was good. I am keeping an eye on her, if the behavior comes back, I will call the vet!
