I picked up our photo Christmas cards and, when I was looking at them wondered if anyone else uses their pets in their Christmas cards.

That led me to thinking about all the cards I've sent out with the kids on them and I decided to share. Some of the photos were professionally done and some I did myself. Some are pretty good and some aren't really great. Dogs that are mostly black are just difficult to take good photos of!

Here's our card for 2008!

ETA: I think this one is my all time favorite Christmas photo of the kids. The photographer just did such a good job of lighting them. Believe it or not, I had it done at Walmart. I'd called ahead to ask if I could bring my dogs in and they said that it wouldn't be any problem, I could just put them into a cart. I had to explain that they wouldn't fit into a cart but they were VERY well trained and they decided to let me bring them as long as I did it first thing in the morning before shopping crowds arrived. Everything went great although I did have to "prove" to the photographer just how well trained they were before he'd let me take off their collars and leads for the photo.

2000. Once again, no cards leftover so the photo only. This was also before Mason came into our family so it's Whitney only.

Thank you all. They really are good dogs. Whitney loves to have her photo taken and it's difficult to get her to look somewhere aside from the camera. I accidently conditioned her to do that when she was young and I was taking tons of photos. Mason will stay where I put him and in the position I put him but, unless there's "bait" involved he won't be interested at all in what's going on. I was lucky this year. Hubby was home and able to help by baiting the dogs while I took the photo. All the flash photos wound up looking pretty "harsh" so I wound up bringing every lamp we own into the living room and taking the photo without a flash. Someday I'd like to get some real photography lights! Big Grin

That's such a cute photo for a Christmas card Daphne! I love how he's "peeking" out! Back when I had kitties they loved to hide under the tree...and climb it too.

I'm glad you posted your photo and I'd love to see more from folks who put their pets on their Christmas cards.

I wish I could get mine to sit still long enough to get a good photo for Christmas. I would have to photoshop to get them all in tho. I have 4 dogs and I don't think I have ever been able tog et all four of them in the same picture.
