Gypsy, horses love to roll. If you ever want to see a horse roll just give it a bath its a sure thing it will become completey muddy moments after you spent an hour trying to get them just perfect looking.

DustBuster,

That is so funny! My dog does that, but I honestly didn't know horses did. I love horses, they are so beautiful & majestic looking. I always wanted a horse but have never lived in the right places to have one. We have, however, lived down the road from some a couple of times. We used to love taking them apples & sugar cubes & petting them.

these are my lawnmowers Reno (appaloosa)and Seminole. And yes they are on my front porch. These were taken a few days after Reno had colicked and I turned them out in the yard to keep a close eye on her. Hey I live in the sticks

The others were taken last winter, when lo and behold it snowed for the first time in at least 5 years and it lasted about 5 minutes

OOHH, My kingdom for a horse.
They are all so beautiful animals. Thanks for sharing.
I always rode horses, hung out around the barns and horses but never had one. I am so envious.

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought that maybe it was posted in the wrong section, lol. Big Grin
Wow, what gorgeous wonderful looking "mowers" you guys have! I love the pics of them rolling in the grass, and the one w/the snow is a lovely shot. I am also very envious. Although I'm a city girl, I would love to have a piece of property that would allow me to have a couple of horses, chickens, piglets and plenty of doggies and kitties...a girl could dream, can't she?

BJ - your snow pic could almost be a Bev Dolittle composition. My snow pics from that day just looked grey, lol.

DB - they could be brothers, hehehe

Thanks to everyone for posting more pics, I never get tired of looking them!

There's an old cowboy saying about when your horse rolls: multilply the number of times he goes completely over by 100 and that's how much he's worth. So far Red's only worth $400 Big Grin He's so grass fat right now he mostly just wriggles one side for a little while, makes a HUGE effort to roll completely over then wriggles the other side!

My mowers, I bought them as eatable lawn mower but my girlfriend has made them pets. They come running anytime they see her. So theres no chance of them becoming steaks on the grill now. And we also have 3rd cow we just picked up recently.
