Looks as if it is a once a month pill with several drugs to treat both heartworms and intestinal worms. Color coded according to the size of dog being treated.
Look at the package the meds come in. Find the name of the product and the name of the manufacturer and google it. That will get you the manufacturer's information, including the name of the active ingredient.
Also, google "collie" and heart worm medicines. That will get you a list of the meds a collie shouldn't take.
Or post the name of the new med here and wait about 12 hours (I have stuff planned for this afternoon) and I'll google it for you. I work in that industry so I may have an easier time getting through the stuff google spits out.

Hi getting back here late. When I called vet (he had retired!!!LOL~~) So talked to new guy & he understood my concerns completely. He exchanged pills for Trifexis with flea control & claims it should be safe. Only problem ~ geez $120 for six pills?! I just hate giving new pill so will still worry. He doesn't start until the first of the month. I think some manufacturer has stopped making them.
