6 indoor only cats.
Little Bit-she thinks she is a Chihuahua in a cat suit. Like Little Jimmy Dickins-she's little but loud!

Harriet-totally normal.

Bert-harriets son. He has "issues" but we accept him for what he is and leave him in peace.

Judah- diabetic, has bladder problems. Big laid back alpha of the group.

Bobbie-Judah's sister and also diabteic. SHe's a bobtail and very laidback like her brother.

Sadie-blind, adopted through Petfinder. Has never had sight as his eyes ruptured before they opened due to an untreated infection. WHat a smart, smart boy and such an inspiration. Being blind doesn't slow him down and when they play chase, he's usually the chaser!

We are feeding a mama feral and 4 babies outside. Mama is getting spayed next week and the babies when they weigh enough and they'll get relocated to our shed/barn.

2 six year old cats and 2 ten week old kittens! The older cats have adapted remarkably well to the new "intruders".

Aww, Handie Ann, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your dog - 15 years is a tribute to both of you and, you are right, another dog will find you when the time is right. Condolences...

We have downsized in the past 5 years. Animals have passed on ....

We are down to:

1 Siamese cat

2 Australian Heelers

1 Part Lab/Part Pit Bull, per the vet's thoughts -- she's our rescue OR we are her rescue Smile

2 horses

1 orphan calf -- her mom died back in March so we bottle feed her twice a day. We recently turned her out with the herd but she still looks for her bottle in the morning and evening .. LOL Smile

and I'll also claim our DGD's dog who seems to stay at our house during the day more than at her house, especially now since DGD has started pre-school. She is another rescue and looks like a "compact" Labrador Retriever. She doesn't run, she bounces. She's a sweetie Smile

Most of our animals, especially the dogs and horses, are getting along in age. We have lost several in the past 5 years. I miss all of them.

We have 2 dogs, Yoshi our Peke and Miss Priss our Yorkie...Yoshi will be 7 years this month and Miss Priss will be a year old next month, I can't imagine a life without dogs. We have had cats, horses and cattle in the past too but when we downsized we had to sell the horses and cattle when we sold the farm.

On the inside:
Polly and Duncan, dogs...siblings that are almost 11. Duncan has a sarcoma that so far has been held in check for almost 2 years via his pain/anti-inflammatory medicine and the vet has been VERY surprised since it is usually an aggressive cancer.

Cassidy, dog...he is almost 8 now and lost his sibling in Oct to lymphoma.

Punkin (Pumpkin) is my orange kitty that showed up around Halloween about 6 years ago.

Then outside there are 3 female kitties and a male that I feed. I have had the 3 females fixed so no more babies from them.

propertylady57, arn't rottis lots of fun? We had ours for 14 of her 15 years, and she was spoiled rotten. We will miss her the rest of our lives. I would not mind a nother rottie but my DH is looking at some pit bull mixes. My DH does not want another rottie because he thinks that it would not be fair to the new dog as we would always be compairing it to our old one.

We have our DD's rescued Neo Mastiff--she doesn't like other animals, so my DS has 2 GSD's which he walked for us and they became more bonded with him when he lived at home. Here's Ms. Mona the mastiff watching at the front door.

Four Koi, and too many comets and goldfish to count. Maybe if they stopped swimming, I could get a head count. Smile

right now we have 3 cats.

Sylvia is 14, an indoor/outdoor cranky old lady. She goes out but never farther than our driveway, or rear yard. she spends most of her time sleeping on the back porch, or in a closet.

Skittles is about 2, indoor only, very very fat, but also very active. hes always had a huge short body.

Stormageddon Doombringer (Stormy) is about 1. We took him in a few months ago as a starving stray. Hes pure black and looks like the geico rescue panther LOL.

Skittles and Stormy are dear friends and constant companions. Sylvia despises both of them. But she is loving and affectionate to me and mark, and she is the # 1 kitty here.

Over the years we have had MANY cats, but right now 3 seems to be the optimum number. One awful summer we somehow ended up with 20 cats yes 20.. thank goodness my sister and mom have farms and needed barn cats.

Life is GOOD!!

We have 3 - I don't like being out numbered!

we have a Boomer - our little mutt who found us. He is about 13/14 years old. He is probably mostly wire haired dachshund - if there is such a thing. Kind of looks like a Yorkie on steroids.

We have 2 greyhounds. The male - Freckles is 8 and a female - Katie is 6. Both are rescues.

I have 5. 4 boys and a girl. Grey started it all. He adopted me 5 years ago, got acquainted with the cat across the street, she had 3 kittens. They ended up inside. Cheetah is the youngest and the latest. He showed up at my door about 6 months ago. He and Grey get along fine. The two boys inside, Dulcey and Lynx fight all the time. Dulcey is learning to take his part. Cissy steps between them when they are stalking each other and most of the time they don't fight.

I have one indoor dog. Jovi, a female red Border Collie. She had a bath today and I decided to take some photos while she was clean and shiny. I got lucky!

Wow, those are huge and I'm not having much luck making them smaller.
