Please, my dog peed on the carpet in my bedroom and I can't get the smell out, I have used carpet cleaner, even laundry det, scrubbed the spot with a brush, etc, and it still smells up my bedroom. I also rent this home too, I need to get this cleaned up. Thanks Amy

do a google or yahoo search on cleaning pet stains and see what you find. Pet stores sell stuff that's supposed to work, but I don't know if it does. Maybe sprinkle the spot with baking soda and leave it. It's probably soaked down into the pad and that's where the smell is coming from. You'll need something to soak down and neutralize the odor.

One potty and your whole room stinks?? I think it's time for a vet check if the urine is THAT strong. Eek
It's called Miracle something or Magic something,,I think. I believe any pet store would carry it.
Seriously,,talk to your vet....please.
I use a little vinegar for bad smells,,,it might "bleach" out coloring, tho'.
Good luck to you and your pup.

As Brusco observed, a one time doggie accident doesn't cause a room to stink if the flooring is cleaned appropriately.

First is to blot up the urine! next is to use a solution of distilled vinegar & water to neutralize the amonia in urine... blot, blot, blot. If that doesn't clear the air, purchase & apply an enzyme product as per label. If all fails, call a professional

I'm more concerned about WHY your dog must urinate indoors Confused

Big fan of plain full strength white vinegar. I douse the spot liberally and use cover it with a clean towel and step on it until it's nearly all out. Then I pour on clean clear warm water and use a new towel to soak it up. It seems to do the trick...and the "violators" don't seem to be attracted to that piece of real estate to do a repeat performance.

The best stuff ever is called Nature's Miracle and most pet stores have it. It's an enzyme cleaner you just squirt on, rub a bit, and blot up. This stuff is great and will eat any organic matter and because it is the consistency of water, will travel anywhere urine may be hiding. I have tried all sorts of things, and nothing works as well as this stuff. No rinsing, no worrying about staining on anything I've used it on and it gets up all the messes a dog or cat can produce.
