Hi Lisa. Hello, Jill!!!
A Bonnie event... definitely on my bucket list. This message has been edited. Last edited by: wildcatmom,
Great picture, they look like they are having lots of fun!!!!
" My bucket list bucket has a hole and it's leaking time"
nice pic!!! and love the quilt behind. especially the string border!
Can anyone tell what quilt pattern was used for the quilt behind them? I expect that it is one of Bonnie's Scrap quilts. Thanks.
That's my little sis Lisa for you! Great picture of everyone and love that sign Jill.
The gals are now on Bonnies Blog
The Quilt is Tulip Fields
Oh they look like they are having fun!
Go raibh grá, ádh, muinín agus dóchas agat i gcónaí
May you always have hope, faith, love, and luck
We are home from the class now--it was Tulip Fields. We will have to take pictures of our blocks. I started to lose brain power at the end of class, but still have enough components for one complete block so far. I'm planning for my finished piece to be a small wallhanging.
We are resting up and getting the kids fed so that we can get ready for the guild meeting tonight. Yea for more show and tell from Bonnie.
I forgot to add that both Jill and I had boxes of toffee from Malou and took them to share with the class. It was a HUGE hit and many of the ladies said that Malou should be selling it! We should have taken a picture of Bonnie savoring our after lunch snack.
Great pic ! Looks like a great time..
I'm so jealous of you two! Not only do you get to take a class with Bonnie Hunter (I did get to see her trunk show a couple of years ago, but no class since I didn't belong to the guild), but you also got Malou's toffee!!
Have more fun together & tell us all about it
Saw this on FB!! Last year this time she came to us on the east coast and I bought a copy of her Shirttails book which she signed! SO much ENERGY!!
Jill is on Bonnies Blog again this morning..WTG Jill she liked your purple and hot pink...you look so cute and full of mischief
Thanks for letting us know TcMay!
She does look so cute! Good picture Jill! How neat that you're featured on a post of Bonnie's! Like Angela, I'm jealous too!!!
Lisa, I really laughed when you told about the toffee being passed around! That stuff sure does have a life of its own!!
Hope we hear from the two 'stars' when they get back home!
I am home now! That was SO! MUCH!! FUN!!! It was just like being at Quilt Cam with Bonnie. She really is so nice and very outgoing! She moved about the room and was fun to talk to all day. I just can't say enough about this day!
And, yes, I had brought a stash of Toffee and all the gals loved it! One lady wouldn't let me take a picture of her quilt until I 'paid' her with another piece of toffee! It was so funny!
I can't thank Lisa~TX enough for inviting me and putting me up! Her daughters are so cute and very good tap dancers!
It was so fun--definitely better since Jill came to town for the class and meeting! We had a great time and she got to see my newly re-designed sewing room, thanks to The Container Store. Still LOTS of stuff to put away in there, but she saw all of the lovely shelves, drawers and display area. She even helped me come up with an idea of what to do for the design wall.
I am making a small project from my class blocks. Not sure if it will be a wallhanging or a doll quilt--I'm leaning toward wallhanging.
Bonnie is so popular that her calendar is booked waaaaaaay out. She will be coming back to our guild in October of 2017. Who wants to come to town? ?
love the pic of you three!! How fun I first met her a couple years at my guild - the whole reason I ever joined, so I could take her class and see her trunk show!! Aren't her quilts even more amazing in person!??!
2017, maybe I can plan that?? My guild here in IN will never have all their ducks in a row to ever host national known speakers...
Hey Bonnie...She is in Indiana now or she was Yesterday...
Great picture and it looks like you two really had fun. I'm excited because I just signed up for Bonnie's workshop when she comes to town in July. It's a small town and as far as I know we've never had a well-known quilt teacher here. Our new quilt shop is really on the ball! I can hardly wait! I hope we have as much fun as you did.
