I have made some beautiful yo yos out of silk, but that is certainly a big project. By the dimensions that they showed, I calculate about 91 yo yos per row and there are 4 rows . . . for a total of 364 yo yos. My estimate is over 30 hours of time to make such a scarf. Guess it shouldn't seem so large to me after making 1,345 for the Yo Yo Crazy quilt a few years back  . | ||||

Speaking of yo-yos... DH had possession of the remote and was flipping channels. He stopped long enough for me to look up and say, "Look at the yo-yo quilt." He thought it was an af-ghan. I said that it was really a coverlet, but I just called it a quilt. He said that it was crocheted in yarn. Nooo...fabric circles. There was another shot of it draped on the couch behind the mother. "Oooh...I see now," he says. The movie is "An American Girl: McKenna Shoots for the Stars." Can't believe he was disputing the word of a quilter though. That would be like me arguing about dental stuff with a retired dentist.
