I am going to go ahead and announce one of the winners of the show tonight and the other 2 winners will be announced sometime over the weekend... I have 2 quilters coming in over the weekend and they will be judging the other 2 place winners... I will announce once they have made a determination...

I can't thank you all enough for voting for The Masque. There were some very unique pieces created and I am flabbergasted that you all liked mine. I've been wanting to make a mask for a very long time and was very happy when this challenge came about so I could play with it.

Well... I can see the woman aspect of your piece when you show it like that... but dang if she doesn't have either one big left leg or a very nice hiney.... ha!

I think your piece looks just like a ceremonial mask... Love it!

• • • Thanks Carol, would you believe it is ALL applique? Turned edge and everything except no hand sewing. Only the beads were applied by hand.

Of course I believe it is all applique. You are a mistress of many talents, my friend.

I guess I can see the "lady' in the WIP...lady leaping with hair blowing back in the wind...except one thigh definitely is a bit larger

I like this too! I saw the mask in the finished project, but I can also see the "dancing" woman in its early stages.

Nope...not weird...artistic!
