.. I send things to her in Portland pretty often, and usually add some fabric. She has Dyspraxia and cannot work at most kinds of jobs, cannot follow a pattern (or some other things) but she can design and custom make these .. this one is a 'sweet' one, the asian fabrics I sent looked pretty swanky when she got done... I'm just so proud of her I wanted to share .. this would embarrass her, but tough. I'm mom.
.... Here in So Cal out by the beaches she sold them in the $300 range, but in Portland it's maybe half that. She does bustiers and corsets, and used to do jocks for the guys that dance - not much call for that in Portland Smile

I know corsets are not an easy thing to make. I spent time teaching a girl to sew one several years back. She did a great job but it was very time consuming and often tedious. I am sure after the first 2 or 3 it gets easier, but still! WOW. She'd probably get a pretty penny for them out here in the NYC area too...

Oh my gosh...that's beautiful!!!! I've been sewing for 500 years & could NEVER make anything like that. What a wonderfully, talented daughter you have. I can see why they would sell for $300 because there is so much work & time that has gone into it. That is TOTALLY awesome & thanks so much for sharing it with us.

Amazing talent!! She should set up a Facebook page to market them. Then she wouldn't be limited to one area.

That is what I was thinking too. Beautiful work & her talent shows in that product. If we can see & appreciate it others can too & many would pay her asking price I am certain.

Tell Dawn Great job! Impressed the socks off us all.

WOW, those are great!. She is very talented. Has she tried ebay? A girl down here sells crocheted bikini's for an unbelievable amount that way?

Had a friend in Texas that sewed the items for the male dancers also. Hate to burst anyones bubble but most of them are g*a*y... Chris

Very nice! DSs GF is/was wanting a bustier...they attend the Texas Renaissance Festival northwest of Houston and dress up. He generally wears his kilt...she goes as a wench. This year they attended the weekend before Halloween...and rode his motorcycle. I asked if he wore his kilt... Thank He@ven's no...they dressed up for Halloween. He went as a motorcycle dude. Whew!
