I Won a Blue Ribbon! Sign In/Join

I entered the boot quilt I made at our local county fair. If you all remember, I made it with tons of encouragement and advice from the members of this board, especially EvelynB and imaquilter. I read the premium book before going to the fairgrounds and saw that there were 27 categories under Quilting. The one category I told myself to stay away from was 'machine quilting." The committee accepting projects wasn't too organized and it took an hour in line to actually enter! I was so flustered by the time I got to the entry table. Guess which category they put me in! Yes, machine quilting. I was very surprised and excited that they awarded my quilt a first place ribbon. Then I was worried that I was the only entry!!! (I wasn't! Whew!)
Thanks for all the help!
Susan

Thanks for all of the compliments! TcMay - you are right that the pattern I used was the one that EvelynB shared with us. She made a great scrap boot quilt and a couple of Xmas tree skirts that were adorable. califgal - I remember that your flip-flop quilt also won first. Hats off (or is that shoes off!) to footwear quilts!!
Thanks again everyone,
Susan
