I need to make just one 4.5" hexagon and can't seem to wrap my brain around drawing one. Can anyone help? Know of any free downloadable ones? I've looked but can't find any - just need one. Here's a tutorial on how to draw a hexagon using a compass and straight edge. If 4.5" is the measurement you want for each side of the hexagon as drawn that is the distance to use for setting the distance from needle and pencil point on the compass.

Two 60 deg. triangles together make a hexagon. I don't know about sizing but that's what we made for the OBW. HTH.

If you go to this site http://incompetech.com/graphpaper/hexagonal/ You can print out all the hexies to your hearts desire, for free. (or just one.) You can set the size. If you use card stock paper when printing, they are ready to use.

Before you print out lots of copies on your printer, remember that die cut hexagons, such as from Paperpieces, are all uniform in size. When cutting from a sheet, you can lose size when cutting. Just to be sure, measure a batch of cut hexagons before mass production to save yourself a ton of heartache. I know, I did it. The heavier the paper or card, the more you lose. That's why I got the Paperpieces instead--no guesswork and they are perfect every time!
