... here is sewnso's mugrug ..ooooops ... looks like I got them backwards ..... my file says THIS one /// Sewnso - let me know if I have the wrong one here - I have it in the computer file as the one with orange fabric under the window ... however, it's also sitting here in my gift to go bag!

I got my little mug rug today from Quiltinana2 & I absolutely LOVE it. I don't think there could have been a more perfect one for me. It's got the cutest little house on it with flowers in the front yard, grass in the back yard & sea gulls flying in the sky, soaking up the sunshine. She did all the quilting by hand with beautiful blanket stitch, chain stitches, "x's" around the sun & two precious flowers on each side of the door. I'm so glad I joined this swap and that Quitinana2 was my partner. Thank you Joan for such a beautiful mug rug!!

Here's a picture of it...

Thank you Nik. Glad you liked it. It was relaxing to do some hand work for a change.
Now I see the photo, I don't like the way the binding overlaps. Will have to do better next time!
Glad to be your partner. It was a great swap. Thanks again for your beautiful mugrug.

I went thru all my selvagess and pulled out the ones that I thought [kind of] had home/heart theme...then had to cut down the 'heart' pieces so lost a couple good 1's!

No worries luvthosequilts, I was running behind too. Got yours in the mail, you should get it soon. It didn't turn out very good, and I apologize for that, just was rushing to finish after company left and now getting ready for more company coming in.

sewlove2quilt, I think your little mug rug is just precious. Your quilting looks like an echoed heart. What a great job!

Catwmn27, just about the time I think there can't be another unique mug rug...up came yours. This was a difficult swap for me (figuring out what to do) but everyone's rugs are so uniquely wonderful. Yours makes me smile.

..... just a thought - so many of the mugrugs are so spectacular I am feeling kind of like maybe I can't keep up with the direction they are going - little works of art that are too pretty to use!
I guess I'm just saying I may not send my swap partner something I sweated and worried over but continue with 'rugs' I hope are utilitarian.
** Is that ok? **
Ladies, I USE mine! I love having them next to me at the computer and machines ..and dragging them to my friendship groups - to be used. I appreciate every one of mine - thank you to all who have swapped with me.

Sandie,I have already started using my mug rug. I made mine for Quiltinana2 to use & I'm using the one she sent me. It's true that it took me a while to figure out what I was going to do but that's the case with anything of me that requires coming up with my own "design". I had a lot of fun making mine & learned a bit more about pp'ing.

J Lu - yours is in the mail! I did a Christmas theme too (that's your only hint :-)

I need to show off the beauty that she sent me... I've had it for a while but finally took a pic. I love it so much, the fabric is just gorgeous and she hand quilted around the buildings and quilts. I'm also looking forward to trying the Texas Pecan flavored coffee J Lu sent this weekend! Thanks again!!

It's fun to look at them all in this thread. So much creativity - way to go everybody.

Asimplelife,AKA (Debbie) I received your rug tonight. I love it. It is all me. The fabrics really are my choice. It made me feel right at home. Tom and I were out on a date night looking at a festival of trees at our local fair grounds, we both thought I'd love a cup of coffee and a piece of pie when we get home. Your package was there waiting for me. Thanks for making my night. I'm going to use it right now. I'll have to get some pictures to you. Happy Holiday's to you all!

Mandy, I may have received it, Have been sick over a week and my daughter/gkds stopped by Mon and Tues to check on me and brought my mail in. I vaguely remember them saying something about "squishy" (these are 6 and 8 yr old boys Smile but I haven't found it, and of course they can't remember where they may have laid it down. DD is checking their house to see if they carried it home for some reason. I'm sure it will turn up and be fabulous! I finally got some sewing done today, first time in couple weeks.

J Lu, I'm so glad you like it! I hadn't paper pieced in several years and so enjoyed having a chance to relearn the process. Originally I planned to use the backing material fussy cut on the right side panel but decided that might be too busy.

What a great swap - I'm looking forward to the next one!
