Martha, it turned out beautiful. I love it. So much better than the EQ thingie.

You have me thinking about the name "Hot Mama" or "Red Hot Mama". The more I think about it, I believe Rita Hayworth was a victim of Alzheimer's and we all know how hot and fabulous she was in her heyday. Remember the the red hair?! My mind works so strangely sometimes, I'll admit. The next thing that popped into my mind was if you think the names mentioned are too racy for you, then what about: "To Know You is to Love Love Love You"? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_a9PpMQA7tM

Yes, that is Bobby Vinton singing on YouTube....
I don't believe there is any connection with him and Alzheimers. It is just the way my weird mind works sometimes. Just trying to think of a less racy name....lol....

I too liked the real quilt better than the EQ version. Is it because the fabric gives it more depth? I thought it was really interesting how the purple border gave the quilt such a different look than the other borders. That was one of my faves, but the piano keys looks great now that its done Smile

Great job, Martha! Aren't you glad that we nudged you away from trashing it?Big Grin? Your work is so lovely and I'm glad to have purchased one of your pieces at the AAQI booth at the Houston Quilt Festival. There is always a lot of hubbub about your quilts over there with Ami and the other ladies. You are an AAQI Rock Star!

I think that Hot Tamale is a good name for it. Makes me think of the brightly colored Hot Tamale candies. I think using a name with a "T" in it is good since there are the Ts in the quilt design. How about "Mama was a Hot Tamale" Big Grin ?

In any case, great job! I love seeing all of your little treasures and know that they have gone a long way to raising loads of money for Alzheimer's research.
