Found this site and there is a pattern for a bargello quilt using our diet noodles! It uses 128 diet noodles yes that is 2 1/2 inches by 16. If you really want to make a BIG quilt you would need 360 strips. KC we got a lot of exchanging to do LOL. I think this is awesome....RN55
Oh my goodness! That is WILD!!
Does this hat make my butt look big?
That's a lot of little pieces
“May God give you...For every storm a rainbow, for every tear a smile, for every care a promise and a blessing in each trial. For every problem life sends, a faithful friend to share, for every sigh a sweet song and an answer for each prayer.”
You sure do!
Quiltville.com patterns are the basis for most of the swaps. I love to have the pre-cut fabrics already when I want to do some sewing!
I've never been enthused about bargello quilts up to now, but this might be interesting, provided I survive cutting those strips!!
Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain.
Only twenty more minutes to sign up for the stashbusters diet noodle swap!
Only 16 more minutes until it is October 6th, but for anyone that is hanging around that wants to join in on the next diet noodle swap you have a little time left to sign up .
Here's the link to KC's thread for the swap. She is a super-swappin' mama .
If you miss out this time, stay tuned for the next swap that she hosts . . . you don't want to miss out!
I've used a similar method to make 2 Trip Around the World quilts. A helpful tip (which I didn't know about while making my quilts!) is:
use a short stitch length when sewing the strips together. Then when you do the sub-cuts you won't have seams parting company! AMHIK!!!!! LOLThis message has been edited. Last edited by: bluesnail,
Sometimes I laugh so hard tears run down my leg! Lois
Oh boy...it's sure a good thing she put pictures in there, readint those instructions, whew....of COURSE I like the big one. Of COURSE!!! That's a lotta strips!!! Sewing that one by one would be mind-bending.
"It's bad to supress laughter. It goes back down and spreads to your hips."
I like the big one also...it figures that is a lot of diet noodles but with the wonderful swap KC is hosting I have a good start and with this next one I should be well on my way to the big one. Is that good or bad? wow lots of pieces!
