12noon Tues....I just caught a facebook message that Eleanor Burns was doing a "live" @UStream...there it's a "webinar" that I didn't think were free. Maybe it is free today, to help round up paying subscribers.

I hope this link works...When I got on it started at the beginning(must be archived)....her sister Patricia is on, and they are doing a Tossed Nine Patch using Layer Cakes. I'm enjoying!
If you facebook, look for Eleanor Burns, or Quilt in a Day, "like", there's a post to click on to view.
She's had her Block Parties available online for free for years, so maybe this is just to increase exposure. I'm loving this one.

ETA The post says they'll be broadcasting @ 10am & again at 6:30 PST today...Tuesday March 19 That'll be 8:30 central, and 9:30 eastern, I believe.

Eleanor Burns did a workshop at a shop about 50 miles from me and I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT IT!!! She was part of a three day event. Bummer. Six of the girls from our guild did know about it, though, and had their picture taken with her. They loved the day with Eleanor.

It was a live streaming class! Really fun
They are holding a monthly class for a fee and sending out patterns ahead of time to subscribers. There's a March cut-off to sign up, so that's probably why the free stream. I'm really thinking about signing up now, but want to find out about the Jan & Feb patterns for late-comers.

I've been to several of her demos & thoroughly enjoyed them. I've never seen Eleanor in person but imagine the presentations are very similiar, but Pat is quieter.

Neat! She is very fun! I made this one which looks like the same concept, just different color placement.

Sandy, love your quilt...I have some of that floral, I think.
Did you see the nine patch they did w/layer cake sized squares?
I loved the audience show and tell.
Is anyone a subscriber? If so, what are your thoughts?

I stumbled into the webinar this morning. Looked good but then I am a real fan. She taught me about quilting to begin with.

The vimeo site says evening time is 6pacific, not 6:30 so be prepared.
Eleanor had to grow on me at first...now, I too, am a real fan. An acquired taste, so to speak.

Her programs are part of the 10 craft programs that share an hour each weekday. They are the first hours on Friday, so I see the old shows each week... Chris

DH paid extra for RFD TV just so I could catch her shows Saw one just today.

Until recently, Eleanor was on twice on Wed. The new schedule is taking some getting used to for me, but the ones they've been showing are re-runs, so I don't mind too much if I miss one.
