sms29s66Here's how they turned out. I wish I had the skills to have made the pillows myself:

sms29s66Thanks for the compliments! Yes, they are both stitched on linen. Now the quarrel has begun. They look good in my guest room (my daughter's old room with the bedding she selected) as well as in MY room. She insists that the pillows are hers!!! All I can say is that if I find her head on one of them, she's going to be very sorry!!!!!!

sms29s66LL, the Holly Berry Ornament is a Barbara and Cheryl design. It is still available. The other one has a few ornament designs from Just Cross Stitch Christmas Ornament issues and a few that I created myself from computer pix of ornnaments.http://www.everythingcrossstitch.com/holly-berry-ornament-mrp-p10304.aspx?k2=m32

royalboomerBeautiful work - I used to love doing crossstitch - haven't really done much in years but still love seeing what others have done. You should be very pleased with the finished product.

L.L.Thank-you!! I ended up pulling out my books and magazines last night and looking through them.... not a good idea!!!

But I enjoyed it and now I know I will be working more consistently on the two projects I have waiting in the wings, because, today I also bought myself a much better lamp to work under then the one I had so..... Thanks for the inspiration!!! I LOVE to sit and stitch - and now I have no excuse not to!!! I am going to go find me a certain design!!

Thank you!!!!

sms29s66LL, tell me about your lamp and if you can, please post a pic. I am currently using a magnifying light that hangs around my neck. My daughter had given me a mag lamp that can be clamped to a side table, but when I bought my sectional I found that the arms of the couch will not permit me to use that one. Thanks!

shey..i love to cross stitch too.. and your pillows are gorgeous... i use an ott light.. i have about 4 of them.. the one i use the most is a floor model..with the light going over my left shoulder.. (i'm right handed).. and if i'm using a sm thread count linen... i'd use a mag-eyes.. ya... you look silly but it really does magnify the linen well.. for me tho... usually just having the ott light on.. is enough for me tho.. one of the other ones i have and use often is a battery or plug in kind.. works great for sit and sews.. (and great for when there is no power too.. lol)..
