| Whew! My first thought from your title was those awful Walmart pictures of people without much clothing discretion. What a great jacket! isn't it fun to see someone else's beautiful work!??!!

| Neat Jacket!
Was as a church rummage sale today and there was a folder of paperpieced patterns with one mostly done. Almost bought it, but they were the 4.5 ones and I knew I would never do those tiny things... Chris |

| After my first chemo treatment, I ended up in the hospital. The Catholic Chaplain came in to give me communion and had on a vest made from an old applecore quilt. She didn't know anything about it, but we had a nice chat about the pattern, the approximate age, my quilts, etc. Isn't it nice to be able to talk to quilt wearers? |

| Years ago -10 maybe? - there was on "Sewing with Nancy" a series of episodes with Elaine Waldschmitt showing how to make a quilted jacket. I just searched a bit and found this picture of one that someone had entered in a quilt show. The pattern is called "Simple Journey Jacket". I thought it was really cool and got the pattern. You have the right of it with the description on how to do the sweatshirt jacket. You reverse the jacket, doing the quilt blocks on what would be the inside of the sweatshirt.
I've done many things with sweat shirts but never made a quilt jacket. I should try that some time.

| I made my secret sister a quilt jacket using a sweatshirt as the foundation. Turned out great, trouble was she had it in her shopping cart at the store and someone stole it right out of the cart - seems someone else liked it too! |
