Welcome! Paus is right, we have a great group here and no question goes unanswered and is never a dumb one. We all started sometime and there is a treasure of knowledge from these great ladies.
Welcome aboard. We love meeting new friends. And we sure don't mind answering questions! Some of us are better at that than others. I'm one of the others.
Hi, a big smile and wave from Australia! You have come to the right place, these ladies are fantastic, and so helpful. Hope to see you around often and asking questions is great here, because you get lots of tried and true advice, feedback, and answers

Howdy from Texas! Just remember: The only dumb question is the one you don't ask because YOU think it sounds dumb! Believe me...we've all asked questions that came with very simple answer! And besides...why reinvent the wheel when someone here already has one rolling?!
Hi Nora, welcome to the neighborhood! I think you'll find yourself hanging out here more than you ever imagined you would! We love to see pictures, so figure out a way to post them!
Hi! Welcome! If your iPad is similar to my iPhone... To post pics from my phone I have to: 1-take the pic 2-email it to myself choosing a size <150 KB 3- save the emailed pic to my phone 4- use the emailed pic to attach to the message board
Hi Nora! Welcome! Some of us are chattier than others and some post pictures more that others, but this is an awesome board of ladies always at the ready to answer question big or small!!
my philosophy: there are no real mistakes in quilting, just design opportunities!!
These ladies are great! I joined about a year ago and it may sound cheesy but the friends I've made her, the knowlege I've gained and the inspiration has truly made a difference in all aspects of my life. Corny, but oh so true.
BTW if you figure out how to make the site play nice with the Ipad, let me know! I use the ipad alot, but can't do the site with it. Grrrr...
Nora-A big welcome from Wisconsin and hope you enjoy yourself. You should check out the SSSS on Sunday Dec 23 at 9pm (EST). We will be posting our exchange stockings we made and see the different gifts we gave. We will also find out who our Secrete Santa is. Nickilee is the host of this exchange and I think 45 of us joined her for this yearly event. This is just one of many swaps or exchanges we do. I also like to see PICS. Sue

Welcome Nora! Ditto to what everyone has said. I have been a member since 2003 (under my alter ego) and mostly just lurk but learn a lot from these ladies.

This is a pic of the top of the first quilt I made -- and really, the first time I ever sewed *anything*! I messed up the layout and two of the blocks are upside down, but I kind of love that about it! LOL

ROFL! LOL! Its a RR at the LQS! We're gonna make a bunch of HST and then practice our FMQ!
Here's another big HOWDY from Texas ... This is the best board EVER! You will learn so much from some very, very talented quilters. Here are few things we love here: 1. Pictures 2. Questions 3. Answers 4. Free patterns 5. Links to good sites 6. etc, etc, etc
You will find that this board is very addicting & you will want to come often to see what new things are happening.

Here's the "almost finished" one. I turned it tonight. Will tie it and wrap it up and stick it under the tree tomorrow!
I don't love it. My 16 year old daughter picked the fabrics and layout. Its not awful I guess, just not what I would have picked. She's the one that has to like it!

Welcome! The runner is so cute and I love the inner border. Had to really look to see how you did that!! I'm impressed that you did a log cabin first. I've been sewing for years and have not tried one yet.
Nora, Welcome from Wisconsin, I'm Sister Sues' real sister. Like everyone says, ask any question, someone here will help with an answer, even more than one. There is usually a couple of ways to do things. Glad you joined us. Also your projects are nice, even the one for your daughter.
Nora: Welcome! I have only been on this board for 3 months, but have made a lot of great friends. I know you will like it here. Are you from New England like your auntie?

Thank you all for the very warm welcome! I have been enjoying reading all of the different threads between projects. I have already learned a lot!
Swaps look like a lot of fun, I'm not sure its a good idea for me to join them though. I have cats and there's no keeping them off my materials. I'd hate to make someone sneezy!
I am just outside of Boston MA.
