Sue and I always always got a present on Christmas Eve, My dad would sit in his recliner and ask our mom to get a "present for these girls" and mom would go into the hidey hole and find one for each of us. So Sue opened her stocking just a few minutes ago. We decided that we would buy stock in the tape companies well before Christmas next year.
Angela, your stocking is so beautiful and what a lovely sentiment you enclosed in your card. A very nice Christmas pin is decorating the cuff of the sock. Just lovely. We will open gifts after I get through the tape on my box. LOL

I think that it was 9:00 Eastern. I busted into my box and found a beautiful stocking from muggo muggo! I loved the surprise of your identity and all of the Maine goodies. The shirt is a perfect fit and I will share all of the edibles with my family. The fabric postcards are great too! So much fun and I appreciate everything. It is even better since we have met in person--three times, right?

Merry Christmas to all! I am hoping to feel better tomorrow, fever has hit tonight.

WOW!! my stocking was from ToryAmm. Such fabulous gifts and original packaging. I will be copying some of them.
So many items where to start?
*Thanks for the 100 block magazine (good thing that I had not had time too buy it).
*The beautiful quilted scarf in my colors.
*The box of assorted candy which will go by my sewing machine.
* The 10 fat quarters which were the perfect colors. I will enjoy using them.
*The mystery books I will enjoy reading.
*The cookie cutters will be put to great use.
* The needle threader which I would like to know how to make
* Several other items, but I don't want to keep on bragging.
Thanks, so much.

You are very welcome, Sister Sue! I am so glad you like it!

I really enjoy this swap - creating the stockings and collecting all the little gifties! Since I am not a crazy quilter, but I do like to cross-stitch, I have tried to find a way to incorporate my stitching into the stockings. And, since my stitching teacher adapted quilt blocks for us to stitch it was a natural combination!

Oh! A quilting friend of mine gave me the idea about having the kitty tangled in the tree garland.

Fleur 55, so glad you like your package. I'm so glad you showed your fur babies, I hope they liked their little gift from Santa, we can't leave them out can we? The stuff in the red tin is tea, but I'm sure you knew that. The name is on the bottom of the tin. A new tea shop opened in the mall and the man said this was a mild breakfast type tea. I can't drink tea so I had to go on his recommendation. I hope you enjoy it. It was fun putting this package together for you.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas.

I finally had an opportunity to open my package, and to my surprise I found TWO stockings--one for me and one for Mom! Smile

MY secret Santa is Patty J. Patty, your stockings are adorable and I just love mine. Mom was thrilled when I brought her stocking downstairs to her while in the middle of setting the table for Christmas dinner (we just opened up our presents with the rest of the family).

Here are the photos of Mom and her stocking. Patty, she LOVES all her goodies, especially the scarf. You will be getting a proper thank you in the mail! Smile

Now, time for ME to open MY stocking! Big Grin

When I starting pulling items out of the stocking, out came a Ziplock bag of triangles...hmmmm...then came out a paper towel tube with what looked like quilt blocks and a paper surrounding it. Patty, you sweet thing, noted all the things I couldn't have, like chocolates, and decided to make the Louisana quilt blocks for the Sunshine group for November and December (thus the leftover triangles!). Being my favorite color is green, she made these all in my shade of bright!

Thank you, Patty, from the child who will receive a quilt made from these happy blocks! How thoughtful are you??? Group Hug

It's a good thing that I posted my stocking before as DH is upset with me, so may not get a picture of the items posted!!!!!

My SSSS is mcpatches. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING! First the beautiful stocking. One year for the birthday fat qtr exchange I requested beige fabrics as I want to do a beige quilt. The beautiful stocking reminded me of that. Really need to post a picture of the other side of it as the back is just as pretty as the front.

Inside and around it were The Art of the Quilt 2013 Calendar, a box of Russell Stover All Dark chocolates (love dark chocolate), a Christmas Cat Wall Hanging kit (collect cat fabrics), a lavender bath set with bodywash-handcream-soap-nailbrush, wild Christmas knee socks, snowman note book, a sardine can with a Quilter's Emergency Kit and 3 yard cuts of rwb fabrics to make pillowcases for QWL.

Thank you again for everything and I hope you loved your stocking as much as I did mine... Chris

A special thank you to my SS, Luvthosequilts, who sent her pkg express, and then her pkg was delayed. So, I opened a few and will wait til she opens hers. The stocking is exceptional, crocheted in a white very soft and silky yarn. Can't imagine the directions. Then a few of the items are: a current edition McCalls quick quilts (perfect for me, as are the other items). Vanilla sugar moisturizing cream, container of vintage buttons and charms, a lighted glass angel in a globe ornament; a small size journal, a snowman ornament, and a decorative box with an actual wish bone in it! The dark chocolate candy was a real treat. So, there is even more to go; a very generous gift assortment. Can't get the picture figured out with my new computer, but hope to master it soon. Hoping your package comes tomorrow.

KC, I'm so glad that your Mom liked her stocking,. Since she was so much a part of the fq lottery, I thought she deserved something a little special.
I hope those blocks are going to be ok for your Sunshine quilt. yep, that pattern can be addicting. I can make more if you need/want more.Let me know. Also if you have trouble with the gift card at CT let me know. I had a lot of fun making both those stockings and filling them up. Have a Happy Holiday. Pat

Merry Christmas ladies, you all have received great stockings and gifts. Sue b, I sent my box by the click n ship method. My first time doing this. So after I input the addresses. When it printed out my name and address, I didn't,t want to mark it out, as I didn't,t know if that would invalidate the label. Anyway will have to check that out for next year, seeing if I can put s.sister as the name somehow. I enjoyed making that stocking and liked doing the different color squares. Glad you like the gifts.

Just put the roast in the oven at my DD,s. and relaxing with a glass of chocolate wine. It wAs a gift and pretty good. Although it looks like mud.

Will open my stocking when we get home. We were going to go home on Thursday but now there is bad weather for tomorrow so will have to see what develops. So,

Merry Christmas all

Mary

Ps sorry about the bad typing.

Crazyboutquilts is my SS. What a beautiful stocking she made for me. She also made me 4 wonderful Christmas placemats. We will use them tonight. There are only the 3 of us and I never put my tablecloth on the table this year.

I also received what I believe is a potholder with a pocket that she made. If it has a different use please tell me. She also made me an ornament that you press and it places music. I also received a spool of thread, a box of assorted teas, a yo-yo maker, a bag of Jelly bellys. Lastly a pack of 5 FQ's in purples and coordinating colors. I can see a quilt being made with those FQ's.

First a picture of the stocking.
