My thank you goes out to Longjohn. She made a beautiful log cabin stocking and filled it with fabric. A nice selection of Cherrywood dyed fabric, a bottle of Synthrapol to care for that fabric. Also, a holiday panel and a couple oriental fats. Lindt chocolates added sweetness. Thank you Longjohn.

Good morning everyone!

After a few days with family and relatives I was able to open my box, and Faye Jean was my SSSS! She made the cutest red & white stocking - I love the stitched snowflakes and the fun pom-pom trim!

Here's a pic of my box with stocking and unwrapped gifts!

Now, to see what was hiding beneath that wrapping paper!

-Poinsettia holiday socks (to keep my feet warm in this COLD weather)
-Handmade triangle chicken in bright florals (so cute!)
-Pastel and button striped FQ (so many possibilities!)
-Hand sanitizer (definitely needed this time of yr)
-Little notepad (so I don't forget what I NEED to buy when I get distracted by what I WANT to buy!)
-Color ball pins (great for sewing in the evening with tired eyes)
-Snowman lantern ornament (to add to my snowman collection!)
-Cardinal salt & pepper shakers (to add to my cardinal collection! lol)
-Emery boards (definitely needed for work and home)
-Handmade travel tea bag holder (perfect for my work and personal travels!)
-Fall/Winter 2012 issue of BHG Quilt Sampler magazine (it shows how to sew a hexagon quilt by machine, and I just got a kit with hexagons that I wanted to try to put together)
-And, last but not least, Hershey kisses! Yummy!

Thank you soooooooo much for everything! I love it all and will enjoy using/eating/drinking/wearing it all!

Here's a pic so you don't have to use your imagination

OMG!!! Trish, Thank you Thank you Thank you! My stocking from "Oz" arrived yesterday. Trish it is just beautiful, the photo does not do it justice.
The contents are perfect. I did not say this on my wish list but I collect travel/location magnets, so the Australia magnet is a GREAT addition to my collection. Love the Melbourne compact, mouse pin cushion (the only kind of mouse I want to see), boomerang batik fabric, ornaments, sewing caddy and it's contents, and last but not least Caleb's beautiful artwork Christmas card a perfect touch to the package.

Here is the stocking made out of vintage ties, trims, lace, beads/buttons, and velvet.

Sorry I'm so late in sharing - my 19 yo daughter returned from Australia and we've been catching up :-). My Secret Santa was ELY and I so wish I could upload pictures so I could show off her gifts! The stocking is precious and has a lot of hand bead work on it. I she made several pincushions and decorated each one beautifully with beads, and one was even in a tea cup and saucer - so pretty! She sent lovely Christmas fabric, along with Christmas potholders and napkins, with the most beautiful napkin rings made for each one. I received a thimble, sewing supplies, votive candle hand decorated, a beautiful hand made bag I can use for many things, a notepad and the prettiest pink butterfly pin! This is my first time swapping with this group and I am overwhelmed by ELY's generosity and the amount time she spent hand making so many beautiful gifts! Like I said, I wish I could share photos of all my gifts. Thank you so much, ELY, and I look forward to next year already!

I've been offline for a few days. STinMT- so glad you liked the stocking. Log cabin is one of my favorite patterns.
My stocking came from Theresa (Tea Sea). A beautiful crazy quilted stocking of satins, with silk ribbon embroidery and a vintage handkerchief motif, Ferrero Roche chocolates, butterfly notecards, JoAnn's card,a package of silk ribbons and beads, and a sweet angel ornament. All was wrapped in fabric secured with flathead pins- how thoughtful! The fabric included cute angels, moose (which I've been collecting) and coincidentally the Same Christmas stamp fabric I used for the back of the stocking I made for ST in MT! Need to find my charger for the camera. Will post a pic ASAP. Thank You!

Shogun, Everything was wonderful. I so love batiks. I am collecting them for a very special project I want to do in the next year or two -- a stained glass block quilt for my bed. They will go into my stash for this purpose. I was even good and shared the candies you sent me with my DH. He loves certain chocolates as well. I will put my JoAnn gift card to very good use with looking for batiks as well. Thank you so much and if you would like please post pics you have so everyone else can see. Quilter Chris.

CQWannabe, so glad your package finally arrived, sad it was late though. I had a great time making your stocking and stuffing it, really glad you like it Smile Your Australian Shepherd is gorgeous...I have had two in the past, Jessie my first was the sweetest...miss her Frown , Bandit, I found him when he was older, and set in his ornery ways, so he had the name Bandit for a reason, but I still loved him to bits...lol

Thanks again Nickilee for hosting this swap!

Luvthosequilts, hope you and your package finally got together. Showed off the stocking you made me to others, and one in particular who is a knitter, and crochets too. All give compliments, as a unique stocking. Hard to believe it's that "easy" as you mentioned, for me anyway.

Hi all,

Finally got home - a little late because of bad weather and got my stocking from DJillM. Thank you much for the hand made items, the scissor holder and fob, the holiday ornament and the pendant. You probably can't tell from the picture but there is an angel on the pendant.

Thanks much.

Then it was time to go eat something...at Souplantation (mmmmm) and then to see the Hobbit I told you DH is REALLY a movie person...
The reason I didn't get the box on the 3rd is b/c we went to the movies...we saw "The Odd Life of Timothy Green" then Mike wanted to see "Perfect Pitch" which I saw in MI with my GFs...so he did and I saw "Taken2" which is WAY too intense for him! I love excitement! and well who doesn't like Liam Neeson? (Well anyway, I do...)
