SDGranny, I'm so glad that you like your stocking. BTW, those Peroline cookies are fantastic when dipped in milk or hot chocolate! I got myself a tin of the Chocolate Hazelnut ones when I bought yours. Smile And the soap was made by a fellow crafter who makes the most amazing smelling soaps ever. Enjoy!

Merry Christmas Ladies!
Looks like the SSSS Santa's did a fabulous job!

My SSSS was LisaTX Big GrinBig Grin Lisa, with everything that you have been going through this year I can't believe that you found the time to send me such a lovely stocking full of gifts. I especially like the handmade items made by you. Thank you so much for surprising me with so many goodies - and Lily Lee thanks you for her new ball - she fell asleep with it in her mouth this morning. I will post pictures tomorrow of my goodies.... thank you! Thank you!

Yes indeed Purple Butterfly, it is a hot pad. It was my first attempt at one. It does have the insulated batting in the large part, so you can use it like a glove. I do hope you like everything! I had fun sewing for you. Smile

My Secret Santa was ekbuckeye and she sent this gorgeous stocking that she added beads to~

oooh ladies once again lovely lovely stocking and wonderful gifts inside always thoughtful and especially for that certain SS chosen for you!

I only wish I had taken a pic of the stocking I made for gemsq! I kept meaning too...it was finished before I left Midland...and dear bro/cuz(that's what I call him Smile) house!!! As you may be aware I was helping him this past almost a year...anywho I didn't put in a change of address as I didn't think I would receive any more mail there...and "assumed" uh-huh...I did! that bro/cuz would keep it and consult with me as to the procedure....wellllll....so on Monday I put in a change of address as per instructions of a PO person in Midland...he seems to think it will come back to Midland from Detroit (where it goes to be FW) since there was no FW as of yet...then they in Midland will FW it to me here in CA so I get to build my excitement until it arrives!!!

Gemsq I so enjoyed putting your gifts together... I even thought of taking a pic of them after wrapping...the MOST fun...I was in such a rush b/c I was so delinquent (what with a lot of stuff happening here once I got home) that your card didn't get into the package...will mail it tomorrow! (color me RED!)
So... I thought I was finished with your stocking but when DD saw it she thought it should be lined to show it off! So I did have some red satin and planned to make it when I got home...except I couldn't find my stocking pattern....now where did I put it????
So... I can make it and send it on along with another thing I wanted to add but was afraid to before I put it in the box b/c it was so full I thought the little guys would get crushed or maimed...will send them along as well...
BTW don't wait for me! Please I am excited to see if you like everything... oh and one other thing wasn't finished as well...explanation in the coming card. Merry Christmas!

My ssss was Fleur55.
I could not believe my eyes when I opened my stocking and it was the same beautiful one I had admired on the board. The gifts are all so awesome!
The pincushion is the cutest I have ever seen. The fabric and matching thread are the perfect colors for me. Pretty fat qrs, pumpkin spice candle tin, measuring tape you can wear around your neck, chenelle thread.A cute picture frame, celestial tea, a black shoe for my collection, the prettiest little purse,a small notepad w/my name and information about the origin of it.
I also got 2 babyruth bars, but after I stepped away from the table there was only 1 candy bar, and my husband has babyruth breath. Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
Thanks so much Dianna. Ilove it all I will try photos later.

Trish... I am so glad you and Caleb enjoyed your surprises! The snowman ornament... that was why I asked about the photo of Caleb.... cause the snowman has on the same kind of hat... I was going to print off the photo of Caleb and put it inside with the snowman and tell Caleb his snowman had the same hat. Smile

When I saw Rudolph I knew he had to go to Oz!! How many times has he sung for ya'll now? hehe

And as soon as I knew I got your name, I went out and bought the cornmeal. KNEW you would like that. Should have just sent you 25.00 worth of cornmeal. ha!

That red cardinal IS gorgeous isn't it! I got him at a local gift shop. He had pinecones wrapped around the pick but I read on the USPS site that you cant send pinecones to OZ so I had them remove them and add the bow...in your colors. But the body of that cardinal... I knew you would love him!

I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas! I spent almost the entire day with my hubby, children and grandchildren yesterday so it was a slice of Heaven here on earth.

Here's to a fabulous New Years!!

Other items included a fabric painting book, chocolate (yum!), a fat quarter, glitzy gems and a snowman ornament. Thank you so much Aunt Jo, I love everything!

Luvthosequilts is a most generous and talented SS. Here is the picture of her soft crocheted stocking that is about 7 inches wide. It is very detailed, including a cuff with angora type trim, and a heel section too. Gorgeous the way it is even without a lining, like you mentioned. My phone camera is not as detailed, and tried to show some of the pattern; it is amazing. Thanks so much.

Well, my stocking package finally arrived in Clifton. I picked it up a little while ago and have been busily (and happily) opening little packages ever since I got home. BTW, when I told my post mistress about the package being sent down to MO, she looked at me with surprise. "Why on earth would they do that?" she said while shaking her head. So even the post office doesn't know why my package took that little side trip.

Anyway, my stocking is from Apple Betty and is very pretty (red velvet with an eyelet lace cuff), and the contents are spectacular. I have a few pics to show you, so here's the first one of the stocking and all of the little packages that were in it.

Oh my, I had listed all the great gifts in this half of the stocking opening, but lost the file when the pic. was too large to be accepted. I went into detail about all the gifts, including two panels (wildlife and red/white winter, quilting box full of useful items, acrylic/magnetic frames, tiny ornaments that grow in water over a few days (interesting), a daily calendar which I depend on, and R/W/B beads. I'll try the pic of these items as another posting, so I don't lose this. Happy holidays, and hoping your pkg comes soon. Love everythin in mine.

gemsq so happy you liked your stocking...and gifts you were not very specific in your "request" post so I found it fun yet challenging!

The stocking is a free pattern online and very simple with the stitch pattern being the 'shell' stitch with double crochets..it was quick and easy....and FUN!

Nickilee,

higher pixel camera's create larger files. If you open it in Word, if you have a newer version, then it is possible to downgrade the pixels and re-size so that it will post and not be too tiny.

If you send it to me, I will try and re-size on my husbands computer and post for you.
