Not just for Mainers anymore! Anyone is invited!

Date: Thursday, November 1st

Time: 11:30 a.m.

Location: Cracker Barrel
357 Maine Mall Rd.
South Portland, ME 04106
207-773-7530

Link to Cracker Barrel http://www.crackerbarrel.com/restaurant/

Link for driving directions via Mapquest

Link to Marden's stores

http://mardens.com/index.php?o...icle&id=15&Itemid=29

**You will need to RSVP by October 20th**

Here is the plan…

Lunch at Cracker Barrel. They also serve breakfast all day if that suits your fancy! And what a great gift shop!

Bring along a new or gently used quilting item wrapped in fabric for a good old “Yankee” swap!

Also, bring along a Christmas FQ and we will have a drawing.

And don’t forget your show-and-tell items! We want to see your latest projects in person. I’ll be the one with the camera taking lots of pictures to share on the boards.

Then, it’s off to Marden’s for a shopping spree! Tons of designer cottons at $4.99/yd. or less! I was able to get our group a 10% off fabrics for the trip as long as we have ten or more purchasing.

So, let’s get together and have some fun!

If you are interest in attending, please don't forget to RSVP by PM to me with your board name, real name, email and phone number.

Any questions? Just ask! Hope to see you on November 1st!

RSVP list:

1. Muggomuggo
2. KC1930
3. Quiltbea
4. KC1930's mom, Jeanne
5. stillsuzzz
6. trble2'smom
7.

I know it's a Thursday, but weekdays are better for establishments to accommodate us. If you work, give your notice soon so you can come play!!

I'm not a New Englander, but has anybody heard from Pinecone? I can't imagine that she'd pass this up if she knows about it.

I am a New Englander and I love Maine, but unfortunately I don't have enough vacation days left this year to attend. I will be there in spirit tho.

I'm sure you will have a wonderful time.

Awww, hi to you too FFG. I'll have to give a pass on it though. DH fell from the roof and had a concussion, fractured rib and hurt his wrist. He is still recovering and is mostly better but the rib still bothers. I'll stay home an make a cake for his BD on the 2nd.

When I was at Marden's in the spring, the discount was on a car load. A car load being 6 people. I commented that most cars now only have 5 seat belts unless it was a van. We had 3 cars there and no one was the wiser. Have fun!!

I wish I could come, but it's not possible this year. Never been to Maine, much less Mardens. It would be nice to meet all of you, but I'll have to settle for online accounts and pictures. Have a good time!

Well, bummer! DSis got her work schedule and she is working W, Th, Fr, 7p to 7a, so having lunch with us is not an option, but she did say if we do this again to let her know, she really would like to join us.

Anyone else on the fence? Or are you thinking about bringing along a friend to join us? Let me know!
