Hi:
New to this board and am looking for a friend of mine a vintage? quail pot holder pattern.
Has a head and small tail and is round on the sides of body which fits over the pot handle.
I know it is confusing to describe. Please let me know where we can find such a pattern.
Thanks for your help,
Annie

I was curious and did a bit of searching. Found this picture:

on this blog. If you click on Crochet Projects in the archive along the right side of the page it will take you to the post about the potholder.

Martha! So cute! I am getting better with crocheting, but not ready for something other than small afghans and cotton dish cloths!

Howdy from Texas! The HGTV Message Boards have a section for knitting & crocheting that you might try. I did some site searching for you on the web & only found the same thing that Bozie found...but no pattern.

Here's the knitting & crocheting link:

The knitting and crochet message board is barely used. There's zero activity for days at a time. Sad!

My thought was that IF that is the design she was looking for the OP could contact the blogger to ask where the she found the pattern. The blog mentioned a town, the blogger might know the name of a store to contact. Smile

Annie, I have a quail potholder pattern that looks like the one featured in the photo posted. I am currently making the potholders for Christmas gifts. If you are interested let me know and I will email it to you.

Hi, Cmebowie. How nice that your first post is one of helping and sharing. Welcome to our board.

And Schean, Hi to you also. Quite the task you gave us. If Cmebowie has a pattern you better grab it. I checked a little further and the only lead on the Internet appears to be the link Bozie posted but I found another comment on another board that sez the phone contact on the Evan's blog is no longer working. You may be in luck with Cmebowie.
