And here is what I posted in the last message on Thread # 2.
Had to make a schedule adjustment between Toryam and Keyedup for Dec. parties.
Tory - you can start at or 7 p.m. central time.
If you start at 7 your time that would be
8 p.m. Eastern time, 7 p.m. Central, 6 p.m. mountain, and 5 p.m. Pacific time zone. This is about when most of the parties start so it is not too late in the east and too early in the west.
Just noticed that this thread has about 2000 hits so will start a new thread so post on thread #3 from now on.
Just moving this up. We are finished for this year. And don't have much scheduled for the New Year.
Any ideas, let me know.
And just thought about Grishko's bobbin lace project? She thought we could schedule 2 sessions for this one. Is there still interest in this and looking for more ideas.
I won't be off on Friday night till the 27th, but would gladly do the adaptations to the Snap bag - what I call the Zippy Snap bag then (the 27th of January) if we go that long.
Yes Im still wanting to do the bobin lace. Have everything but waiting to find out what kind of thread to get. Looking forward to class.
Be happy Be safe
I will put you down for Jan 27th!! for the Zippy snap bag.
Thanks much. Merry Chr*stmas
Sorry I've been off-line for a couple of weeks. The stupid computer was moving slower and slower and finally overheated and crashed. DH is trying to make do and swapping hard drives and I don't know what all else to get back online in a permanent way.
Anyway, I think back on the "Thread #2" thread when I was asking about interest in a bobbin lace PJ party, you had said you would schedule it at the end of January. I think we will need 2 consecutive Fridays. It looks like now someone else is scheduled for the end of Jan., so maybe we could have it the 1st 2 Fridays in February? I think there were several people making the bobbins and pillows who were planning on attending the PJ party. Just let me know what works for everyone.
I will schedule you for the firs two weeks in February. That would be Feb. 3 and 10th. And when you have a chance, can you again post how to make the bobbins. Thanks much.
I'd be fine with moving my date - I just have every other weekend off, so the 10th of February would be my alternate date if the end of January works better for Grishko.
I'm ok with Feb 3 and 10. Actually, having that extra time will allow everyone to finish their bobbins and pillows if they haven't already.
I don't know how to post a link to an older thread, so I will just add a comment to send the bobbin thread to the top of the list.
I don't know how to do that either.
So doing this in Feb. gives everyone more time to get ready after the Chr*stmas holiday.
Just moving this up.
I see we don't have anything for Jan. 6. Anyone have any project we can work on?
Happy New Year!!
Anyone interested in making an infinity fleece scarf? Need 1 piece of fleece, 9" wide by WOF, matching thread, zigzag stitch. Fast project 45 mins to an hour.
It sounds like a good project to me. Fast and easy is always good. And only 9 inches of fleece so not expensive.
I'm trying to think if I have any fleece or if I have to buy some. Will list you as the Jan 6 PJ party host if ok with you.
I'm anxiously waiting for the bobbin lace party. I dug the box with the pillow and bobbins out today. I think the pillow needs recovering. Jackie
Yes, list me for the Jan. 6 pj party, I've never hosted/taught a pj party might have some questions. I'll post a photo and supply list this weekend. Happy New Year to all!
CQ Wanabee, will add you to the list. Was at JoAnnes this a.m. and got my fleece for the scarf.
So Looking forward to Fri. nite.
might have to try this fleece scarf I have lots of fleece on hand.
If life hands you scraps make quilts
i want too!
Goood, the more the merrier!!
I'll start a new thread for the fleece scarf pj party, showing a photo etc.
Supplies: 9" wide by WOF (at least 58") piece of fleece, matching thread, zig zag machine stitch.
Just moving this up.
Nickilee will be doing the zippered jewelry/art flowers this coming Friday.
Don't have anything scheduled for Jan. 20. Any ideas anyone????
Then we will have 2 weeks for bobbin lace.
Just bumping up. I see we have nothing scheduled for Jan. 20.
Zippy snap bag for the 27th and bobbin lace for the first 2 weeks in February.
I'm thinking these should be all the PJ parties for now. We can start up again in the fall hopefully with some fresh ideas!!
I could do a paper bead demo on the 20th if you'd like. It would be a real quick one.
That would be wonderful!!! I'll put you down in that slot.
Gosh...those are sure cute....what do I need to gather to play?
I'm interested in the paper bead demo. What do I need to have for that? Also, I plan to take the bobbin lace. I have everything but the thread which I will get this week.
I have seen Paper Beads used for scissor FOBs. I will definitely tune in that night.
In the crazy quilt of life, I'm glad you're in my block of friends. ~Author Unknown

Just moving up...
Owie was asking for a party demonstrating log cabin and paper piecing if anybody wants to volunteer......
Thanks, toryam. Yes, I do not know how to make logcabin blocks and would be delighted if someone here would demonstrate. I think I am the only quilter who does not know how to make a logcabin block. Thanks.

I see mudpotter is scheduled this week for the snappy bags.
OWIE!!! Hand raised, I can not make a log cabin either, so would love to see how.
I hate to hog up all the parties but if nobody else can teach the log cabin I'm willing to give it a try...
But if there's anybody else who likes doing log cabins, please jump in here, I don't want ya'll to get tired of hearing from me, lol.
Yippee! More Snappy bags! She will do great!
We want you, gal!! If ok with you, I will schedule the log cabin after we do the bobbin lace. Is that time ok. It would be Feb.17.
OK, Fishingwidow, but if anybody else comes up and wants to teach it, I'll bow out.
I am thinking the PJ parties have been winding down and we should quit for now.
Grishko can post a date for her # 2 bobbin lace class whenever she wants to do it. And Toryan, same applies to you if you want to do a log cabin tutorial.
It has been fun and we have learned many things. Thanks to all our teachers and our very good well behaved students.
A special thanks to you Mary, for pulling this all together for us. I have learned so much from these P.J. Parties & have loved being a part of this.
We live in the home of the free...because of the brave.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Mary!!! Great job organizing these classes.
Thank you to all the talented women who taught classes. Always fun to learn something new and see everyone's creativity.
I have also loved seeing how things were done. Thank you to everybody who put time into them. I will watch for any to come.
