Showed Sam another picture. See what he made. Big Grin

I need to make a carrying case for when we go to quilting retreats. (We = Shirley Anne and me.)

Edited: The front wood edge is the rolled edge on the desk that I use for a sewing table...not part of the extension table.

I asked him when the orders started coming in how much he would charge...umm...No.

However, when SIL sees it she is going to want one too. Wink

Love the graining of the wood. I would be afraid of marring it with pins. Bet she dances nicely now!

DH put three coats of shellac on it, sanding between each coat. Then finished it with a coat of paste wax. Until the photo, I did not realize how close it matched the front edge of the computer desk I use!

Libby, Sorry. He doesn't even have the decency to answer me when I ask him how much he'd charge if I take orders. Wink I will ask him one more time...

This is the one I showed him, although he did not make it like that one:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Feathe...&hash=item4601d0771a

He took 3 boards, two long, one short, and put them together in a U. Cut the slot in the top with little "bites" to accommodate the hinged area of the bed, then put that on the frame. That one in the above link is $80!!!

eBay also has acrylic tables listed:
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html...nsion+table&_sacat=0

Pssttt...I've got to make a carry case similar to the case in the above link.

Sister Sue bought an acrylic one from the local quilt shop and she loves it. Says it was worth every penny she spent on it.

Emailed DF with a pretty please Smile I'd better get those measurements - no way is my machine actually going down to the farm.

I know he has a mess to clean up in his workshop - a woodchuck got in there and he shut him in for the night...woodchuck decided to knock over things and make a huge mess before trying to get out - I think he made it. Smile
