An old friend has asked me to make a Sunbonnet Sue baby quilt. Of course, the baby is due next month.

I was wondering if anyone had SS orphan block or so. She'd like pink but I'll buy anything. I figure with 3-5 SS blocks I can fill in with lots of pink 5" squares or something like that.

Thanks

How about doing them in crayons since you have such a short amount of time. If she has other children it's fun to let them help you color them. Here's one with alternate blocks of 9-patches. That also saves time.

I;m pretty sure I have a bunch of Sunbonnet Sure blocks ...give me a day or so to find them. Not sure is there are any pink, though.

Evelyn thanks for the crayon idea. I did run it by her but she's not excited. It's amazing people who don't quilt or even sew think nothing of 'special' demands.
