Quilting ideas for charity quilt.... Sign In/Join

I am trying to decide how to quilt this one....it is for a charity auction this Saturday. I posted a bunch of pictures of it here because I don't have to resize them and it tells the story of the quilt

but here is one picture of the front.

If you've gotta get it done in a hurry, how about a big meander with maybe a "woof", paw prints, dog-bones or other doggie themed shaped designs thrown in?

● ● ● I agree with Angela. Keep it simple and fast. You could weave in and around the doggies and then in the open spaces you could add some easy shapes. Do you remember my method of freezer paper for marking?

I'd love to hear about Jayardi's freezer paper marking.

Sounds like this needs to be quick and done on a home machine. I noticed a blog comment of stipple in the orange and straight line quilting on the rest. I like that idea. Or paw prints in the orange.

Smile Nice collection of fabrics and a cute quilt so far.

Thanks gals! I have decided on a big meander with dog bones. Jayardi's freezer paper method is really neat! I am cutting out a bunch of dog bones out of freezer paper and ironing them on to the quilt. I will quilt around a dog bone then stipple around to another one and go around the bone....then stipple...then bone.... I could just do it in my head but then I know I would box myself into a trap!

That is a very lively and fun quilt you have there. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it does well this weekend. It should!!!

I often use freezer paper for quilting. That or the Press n Seal. I like the freezer paper best because I can print it off on the computer.
