this report from Reuters about the latest update from Java opening your computer to Hackers???Could not find anything on Snopes...have you seen anything about it? There is a site at the bottom of the article to check your computer...says mine is vulnerable on IE and Mozilla
We have discussed this problem in a computer club I belong to. This is what we have been advised to do.
Open any PDF document you have on your computer.
Click "edit". On next screen choose "preferences" at bottom of list.
On the top line of next screen is a box labeled "enable Java Script". There will be a Check mark in the box. Click on mark and it will be removed. You want the box to be blank.
You only have to do this on one document and it will be changed for all others.
Thanks Ladies very much.
I have tons of PDF on my computer.
Took care of all of them.
I want to be the kind of woman that when my feet hit the floor each morning the devil says: "Oh NO! She's UP!"
Prayers and hugs everyone..
Thank you for the info..
just set it on my pdf's..
Hugs, Waves, Smiles, & Prayers
God bless you all and may sunshine always be in your lives to brighten your days..
If the enable Java Script box is not on your screen look to the left for a list. Find Java Script and click on that, then you should have the "enable Java Script" on the top line.
Thank you for the info.
I did that but not sure how it protects your computer, scratching my head .......
When I had it enabled, 3 trojan files were put on my computer and the computer was not running right.
Our computer club says to always update Adobe reader and Adobe flash player because the updates usually contain security updates.
