• • • I was going to come back earlier, but after work and then dinner, I just zonked out. Now I'll be up all night. Roll Eyes

When the fabric showed up, I had NO idea what to do. I was working with appliqued stars on the t-shirt quilt so that's probably where the star came in. Other than that, I was thinking of doing a convergence quilt, but I wanted to try something different. I was planning on doing simple curves, but didn't want to take the chance of messing up, so I decided to applique the arcs. Once I found the blue star fabric I decided to stay with the flag as the base, so I pieced the background with red/white stripes.

For a while I was stumped on what to quilt. Dan suggested the Twin Towers, but all the photos I found just wouldn't work. Luckily, I came across a photo of the Statue of Liberty and as they say, the rest is history.

I'll try to keep better track of my ideas for the next challenge. Thank you for all the votes and compliments. I still can't believe they were so well received.
