Sorry to hear about this. One of the members of my quilt guild did the same thing said her finger tip was very sensitive for a while. Best to you in your recovery.

works! Sorry you had to find out the hard way.
Will you be bringing it to retreat, so I can get all my blades sharpened?

Been kinda laying low...No work until mid-week. Had a bad reaction from the td shot--just like having the flu. Sleeping 20 hours a day.

Ohhh, I'm so very sorry. Been there, done that. Bled for 3 days before I went to the doctor. He gave me heavy-duty antibiotic ointment and a bandaid. Feeling still isn't quite right, and that was 5 years ago.

Am so glad it wasn't worse! Sounds like you lost about as much blood that day as I did, but at least they collected mine as a blood donation!!!
Wonder if rotary cuts are now the chief cause for emergency cut visits instead of cuts from bagels, now that bagels come pre cut?
After I read about another accident, I need to get my klutz glove out when I do any cutting. Get lax between these posts, so time to shape up again... Chris

I bought my MIL a cutting mat, ruler and rotary cutter for Christmas. She is 78, been quilting for many years and never had them. I told her about five or six times how careful she had to be, about losing pieces of fingers.....
I brought her to our local quilt shop yesterday and she was buying some fabric for her new rotary cut quilt, we were laughing and she said something to the woman behind the desk about my precautions, and another woman walked up to us and showed us her hand. She said she had been quilting and cutting for many years, and two weeks ago had ended up in the emergency room with seven stitches to put her thumb back together.
Can happen to any of us! My MIL seemed to "get it" then....
