This is so cool - convert a necktie into a rosette style pin. Great way to recycle your husband's hideous tie!
Reminds me of the pins Shauna did, love it.Would be neat to do one as a memory pin too from loved ones tie.TFS

jacky, what a wonderful idea.
Hmmm, wouldn't a bunch of those on a quilt be a great memory gift. Or bunched in a shadow box.
I actually used two of my husband's old ties for silk fabric in one of the Sandy Hook commemorative quilt medallions for a little boy. I needed something a little more masculine than what I had on hand. Voila! And he's happy he got to be a tiny part of the project.

Fun! I'll have to look for some ties next visit to the thrift shops.
I love it!!! Now if I could just find my dads ties. Maybe I'll have to ask DH if he has one to donate. The only tie I've seen him wear was for our wedding and it had "Road Runner" on it!
Keep calm and carry on

Hmmm, it says page unavailable? Is this your site, CraftFox? Maybe it doesn't support my ancient IExplorer.

Must admit I had a big smile at your comment Sew Happy ... lol, your DH only tie had Road Runner and on his wedding day!
