I was in yahoo looking for something when i got a large pop up saying it was from microsoft security essentials and i needed to run a clean up right then! I didn't!!
i ran a scan and a clean up with Webroot, my virus program people. nothing.
then i called a guy here who gives free help to Seniors.
he just called and said to open Microsoft essentials on my computer- turns out i didn't have it! one thing, the sentence in the pop had one word that was spelled incorrectly. warning in itself.
anyway, he walked me through things and all seems well now. good thing i didnt' click on that pop up!
i told him i was used to calling the IT guy when at work but not working now and am at home on my own.
so warning people. beware of pop ups and don't always believe them.

I have pop ups blocked on mine. That way I don't have to fool with them.
