Helen Weinman of Heartbeat Quilts on Cape Cod has a few lines of nautical/beach fabrics. See the posting under "Another Shop Closing" though. Her fabrics are beautiful. Another line- more funky- is by Lorelie- flip flops, pretty drinks, etc.
Sash, Love the first one you posted. It looks like a layer cake collection. It would be fun to have a themed swap with a nautical theme or even transportation.
I can't find where I saw it but it's on my someday list for a baby boy. It had portholes cut from gray fabric and inside each was a different scene if fish, boats, and beaches. So cute! A panel could easily be used for the scenes.
Kim I think the hst were 10" finished. You're right they go quick and make up nice. No applique ... it's not in my library. he heThis message has been edited. Last edited by: Twostep,
Yes, the fish, seahorse, starfish, etc. are raw-edge appliqued on the top.
Some of these fabrics were purchased to make doo-rags for a young lady going through cancer treatment. Later, I made this quilt for her with some of the remnants and other blues in my stash. She's a water/pirate kinda girl. But I don't do skulls and crossbones.
