The smallest Cross in the corner is the one you put in the room.

I hope all our daily ups and downs are with needle and thread.

Ok, question here. The instructions don't say the ribbon has to be a 3.5 unfinished SQUARE.. but at least finished 3 high and 3 wide... so I'm reading that as I can use 1.5 in x 3.5 in strips to do the entrance and exit corners...

Is that right? Or do the exit and entrance blocks on the thread have to be 3.5 squares ???

Thought maybe others might have the same question.

They do not have to be squares. One of the examples on the first page of this thread is not a square. Check out Lori's blog for the retreat for another example that is not a square.

We just wanted to make sure that each quilt would match up with the one next to it, and that there would be enough of the thread fabric used in each quilt that you could see it flow from one to the next. Smile

Looks good, and versatile.

SueB I'm going to have to send you to the over achievers class Smile

Dates : Your initial row must be mailed by DEC 10th
The next three mailing dates are
January 24th
March 4th
April 12th

The last row will need to be completed and then mailed to Lori (Gonesewin) by June first. The last row will give you over 6 weeks if they have all been on time, so feel free to mail the last row as soon as it's done.

There is a little extra time for the first row, Dec 10th it is due, just so everyone had enough time to work in the thread fabric. If the person you are mailing to is OK with you sending early, you can mail it once its done.

I'm having sew much fun designing my "middle" row. My daughter says I'm an over achiever. I've decided on how to wind my ribbon thru the row. Now I'm working on adding things to the row that have special meaning to me and filling in the gaps with quilt blocks. It is sew much fun!

Wow KBlue, does sound like your middle row is going to be very interesting.

Mine is done and will be mailed to the next quilter in our group this week.
