Last night I was pulling out pink and brown fabrics amoung them some fabrics from the Connecting Threads line. Wow, I just love em. The quality, feel and hand are wonderful. For the price $5.96 a yard, less when on sale; I'm a believer. They were such a joy to work with. Though I have to admit cutting was hard, I just wanted to snuggle and pet the fabric. I'm so glad they came up with this idea and I know they have found a forever buyer in me.

I have thread from Connecting Threads and they sent a free 5 inch square for fabric. I thought is was nice too. I will probably buy from them in the future also. If you order from the internet and get more than $50 you get free shipping.

Normally, I'd agree with you because I have purchased fabrics from them before.
Unfortunately, my most recent purchase is a little sub-par and I am hoping things will improve after all is washed.

I fell in love with their Cottage Blossoms quilt and so, decided to buy my first kit. I loved the fact that I would not have to pick and coordinate all the fabrics.

The kit is very organized with great instructions and colors. The bummer is that I feel like I am sewing with muslin sheets when I am used to percale, know what I mean? It is rougher than any fabric I would choose and the thread count seems lower than I'd ever buy.

Do you think it is too much wishful thinking to hope it will soften up once it's washed and dried with fabric softener? I am worried I'll still be disappointed.

Your thoughts?

I sure hope it softens up after wash. I bought a kit from them also, but haven't started it yet. The fabric seems very nice though. GL

i haven't had any issues with thier fabric..i have ordered nickles and a few kits. the last one was the "nursery rhyme " quilt.., it is all flannel..the only thing wrong with it, is the "red" for the numbers and letters..it is more of a "salmon" color..i was really hoping it was a red..it was for a boy.and i think the salmon is too girly..since there is so mush of it in the quilt. i may just substitute it for some other flannel i have.
other than that, i like the stuff..really want to try thier thread, the next time i purchase anything ..
