I am making one for niece she is decorating with owls in nursery in green and purple...does any one have ideas or pics or sites to go to for direction of an applique or material with owls??? help

Hobby Lobby has had a really cute owl fabric. Black background, pink, green, blue, purple etc owls. It is adorable!
I used the appliqué owls at www.fatcatpatterns.com paired with the Hobby lobby fabric, and made a super cute baby quilt. Sorry, no picture...

You came to the right place. Smile Someone was asking about owl patterns in the past week. There were a lot of links to applique patterns on this thread, and Paus4quilts made up a number of pieced options. Here's a link to the thread.

Here's a site with a pattern for Owl-oween. You probably don't want owls in cutesy costumes but I thought the layout was fun, and a little different. It is a subscription site.
