I agree with ^^...I have a lot of batiks that are not large print....and was hoping to use them for this swap. I did not have a stash of different small prints.....so I had to buy fabric for this swap....which is OK. I love the blends of color in the batiks!!
The above ^^ is referring to what KaylaQuilts had responded on using batiks!!
We certainly can see what the majority would like to do for the next swap, so I will add a poll to the boards next week so we can vote on it.

How cute is that? Bella can be our official Hexie dog! Love your nice small prints--keep up the good work For those of you following our progress, please check out posts on the blog in the signature below. I can honestly tell you that making these hexies for fantastic in cutting out your evening snacking! I've actually lost about 10 lbs. Hopefully I won't undue my progress since I can't sew for a few weeks! This message has been edited. Last edited by: KC1930,

Kayla, is that 600 hexagons? That doesn't look like too many to make. Or is that 35 sets (210). Anyway see some (all in fact) I hope I'm lucky enough to obtain in the exchange. Libby "Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible." ~~~Dalai Lama
Yup, 100 sets of 6 they really do go fast if you do them while watching TV Kayla "All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream" -Edgar Allan Poe-
Great job! Anyone else want to share photos? Just an FYI: If you would like to package up sets of six in a Ziplock bag, please do. I got mine in a box of 100 at the dollar store. Just be sure not to duplicate the same print set in the same baggie! I'm already working on my 30's hexies
Guess that is winning.. How many sets of six to each baggy? ( looks like you have 9 in each of your ziplock bag)This message has been edited. Last edited by: SC Lady, Libby "Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible." ~~~Dalai Lama

Busted, Libby! I guess I need to go back to school, lol Yes, you see nine (9) sets in each sandwich-size bag.
Thanks, for the explanation on the baggie. I knew there were 9 stacks.....but wasn't sure if it was a single layer or double. Since it is a sandwich baggie, then I know it is only one layer!
No!, with your sore finger you just hit the wrong keys. That will be 11 baggies plus one stack of 6 to =600( if my math is correct)This message has been edited. Last edited by: SC Lady, Libby "Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible." ~~~Dalai Lama

Okay, am I the only one getting nervous? I'm looking at these massive stacks of cute, FINISHED hexies, and I'm still cutting my fabric! Sigh. I'm a bit of a turtle in doing things, but hoping I can catch up a little soon...gulp. ::Runs off with scissors and flailing muppet arms:: DebThis message has been edited. Deb, they work up really fast. Just cut a bunch of 2 1/2" squares, get your paperpieces, thread, needle and snips and put in a basket near the TV. I was at our Maine State Quilters meeting today and made 100+ while listening to the program and speaker. If you would like to package your hexies sets in the zipper sandwich bags (squeeze out the air to keep them fresh--nobody likes a stale hexie!)This message has been edited. Deb. I cut some then sew some, so nether is overwhelming, as KC said, when sitting and sewing it does go fast to make a pile of sixs Libby "Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible." ~~~Dalai Lama

LOL!~ I'm actually looking FORWARD to work as I can make these between phone calls. Your right, SC, cut a bunch and after they are done, cut some more! It's fun!
Yes, I have about half of my cutting done and will be doing more today. I'm sure when I finally sit down to actually stitch them, that part will go much more quickly! I'm pretty slow and methodical with cutting, so it has GOT to be faster than that! LOL! I definitely like the sandwich bag idea! But no worries about stale hexies with me---I wait until the very last moment to harvest them, so they'll be at their peak of freshness when they arrive! Deb
I only have 12 sets completed so you are not far behind me. I have enough cut for 35 sets but may do more since I won't be doing the next round.

Hi, I'm checking in to let everyone know that I have finished my hexies. Just need to get them packaged up and on their way. This has been a fun swap and I will soon be starting to make more for round 2.
Ok. I've ordered my hexie pieces and waiting for them to come in the mail. When did y'all start that you're already mailing them in? I feel like I'm so far behind y'all. And I'm only doing the 1930's. :-)
SewRhonda, there are TWO seperate swaps--this is the first one only for Stashbusters. You are in the second swap for Stashbusters and also for TRUE 30's repros. You have plenty of time!
Hi Swappers! I have bagged my hexies into packs of 9. I will label each bag with my name and here is my question. What is the best priority packaging to ship these? Also, did I miss the address to mail them to? THANKS! Lindy in NC

Hello Everyone, Sorry for not posting anything till now, but I have never done this before and am not sure if this is the right way to post. Just wanted to check in and say I'm working hard at getting my hexies done. My goal is 100 by the end of the month.
I have 40 done and am working towards getting a few more done. It is addictive! My husband watches I Dream of Jeanie reruns and I baste away. I like to cut a few sets out and sew them up. Haven't figured out how to send a PM yet or post a picture. When I do I will post my progress. Going to try to do 100 as I don't have 30's fabric for the next swap.
Sue, you can email me the picture and I will be happy to post it for you.
You did a PERFECT job posting! Again, if any of you need help posting a picture, or would like one posted on our blog, just let me know! Glad to help.
