OK friends... in order to make some extra cash while in nursing school I was considering doing hand quilting for hire. I have no clue what to charge. Any suggestions? I am an excellent quilter who has won awards on local and state level.thanks all for your advice!

Did a search...
$1 - $1.50 per yard of quilting thread used.

This link is based on "per square foot"

The suggestion of charging per yard of thread is a good one. Any idea how much thread various sizes might take? I know that will depend partly on how close the quilting is but you will need to give customers an estimate so they won't be shocked at the final cost.
