Thanks again to all who contributed to this project. I'll post a new pic after it has been quilted.

Here's the top...there are 4 blocks (rows 2,5,7 and 9) that have open centers in them I thought I might go back and machine embroider something in each block after the quilt has been quilted. What do y'all think? Any suggestions? Something simple...Peace, Love, Hope, Faith ....

If you didn't know how old you were, would you worry about how old you are?

here's a close up of the border and the "flange" (I think that's what it's called)...

Her grandfather is a pastor. That's a good idea. Do you have one in particular that you want her to look up? I'll put it on there....

Great Job!!
Thank you for doing this. I was surprised at how well all the colors and patterns went together.

When I laid the blocks out on the table to balance the color, I only moved about 4-5 blocks. I was amazed at how quick it went together too. My plan was to put it on the frame today but it hasn't worked out so far. Maybe after I get a couple other things done I'll slip out there and put it on the frame.

The quilt looks great. Peace, Love, Hope & Faith sound like great sentiments. What more could anyone ask for in life.

I love the quilt. You did great.

For the centers I'd go for simple words the child can read and understand....
Love, Hugs, Smile, etc.
or butterfly embroidery.
