This is called Victorian Melody. This is Queen size and I sent it out to be machine quilted.

This is the only the second one that i have had machine quilted. All the rest have always been hand quilted by me. The ole neck will not allow for this much bending for so many months. It is hard on me just sewing up the quilt.

That's a lovely quilt. Congratulations.
I'm trying to learn how to hand quilt and find it frustrating. I am in awe of you folks who do it with ease.

Thank you for the compliments.

I think what the difference is in this quilt the blocks are placed on an angle instead of straight across in a row. The side blocks are triangles and the main blocks are a nine patch.

I may make another quilt of the same pattern with the other bridesmaid fabric for the other daughter and granddaughter.

I believe a different choice of fabric may give it a very different look. I think pink may have been a better choice to go with this but these were the colors that needed to go in this particular quilt.

The quilt did go together quickly.

That's a very nice quilt. And congratulations to you for making it. Good luck on deciding to make another like it. It's a good pattern.

Sorry to hear you are having problems hand quilting 'cause it sounds as if you enjoy doing it.

That's a beautiful quilt & I love the colors. It reminds me of the lap quilt I made my boss when he got married about 5 years ago. I did it in floras & on point & it was a favorite of mine.

Very nice, and it really looks nice on point. I admire those who hand quilt theirs, but for something like this I'd have to have it quilted. And it gives you the time to move on to the next one!

It's really pretty, and I love that floral fabric — my colors and my kind of floral print. You did well!

Lovely quilt. It looks great on point, gives it a much more intricate look than if it was put together in straight rows. Good job!
