My sewing room was strewn with ties this AM as DS had apparently looked thru my collection for one to wear LOL. I was going to post on here for ideas of items you have made, but looked online first. I still would like to see YOUR PICTURES, but take a look at this!

Marie and I made this quilt for a lady's daughter who lost her dad. We used his shirts and ties to create the quilt.

Q, that is a great quilt. As some of you know my dad passed very suddenly and I am saving his ties and just decided to save some shirts as well. When the time is right I will start on a quilting project but right now it is too soon.

KG, I'll have to look at the link when I get to the library as my computer has issues and I am on old Win98 so I can catch up with everyone.

KG, there are some cool ideas on that site.

Q, love that quilt. That was great use of both the ties and shirts. TFS

Some of us in the 12 Days swap were lucky enough to get the cutest cell phone covers from LanaR - made from ties! They are so cute! I love mine. Of course, now this means that I have to start searching for ties at garage/yard sales this summer. Wink

One of our 99cent type stores always carries ties.
