(You might be a redneck if your 6 mths pregnant at your daughters wedding. Big Grin We used to tease mom with this joke.) 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Only 12 and a half months differece in me and my brother. People always asked if we were twins.

With my Mother and Father I'm number4. With my Father I'm still # 4 of 7. If you add in Step brothers and Sisters I'm number 9 of 12. As I was raised by my Mother I was always the only girl of 4 children.

I live in a lake community that is full of weekend people. It's very lonesome with no one to talk to so I read constantly. I read both paper and ereader. Howevver, I find I enjoy the ereader the most.

Kindle and Nook readers - have you found BookBub yet? You can sign up and receive special offer e-mails - most are free books. Or you can like them on Facebook. I just found them a couple of weeks ago. Always check the reviews. I always read the 1 & 2 star reviews to find out why they didn't like the book...and check the percentage of likes against dislikes. If the book has 67 4&5 stars and 3 1&2 stars - I send it to my Kindle. I've found some new good authors.

I frequent the library for the new releases.

Handie, I think confusion is a state, not a country! LOL! I think I've been to H*ll and back, several times, I've had people tell me to go there quite frequently. Been to Virgin Islands, Mexico and Puerto Rico only. Would love to visit Italy and see where my dad grew up.

I've been to New Zealand (well that's cheating since I was born there and stayed til I was 29), Australia, Turks and Caicos, Bermuda, Canada, USA, Tahiti (but only as a stop over), and Fiji.

My cruise stopped in St Thomas, St Maarten, Antigua, Haiti, Domican Republic, and St Kitts.

So I guess thats 14 Smile

I missed the last question, I live in the city, doesnt get much bigger than NYC Smile I would prefer to live somewhere smaller tho. I have a kindle that was given to me but like most on here I enjoy actual books. Just had to renew mine coz I have 21 out and it would have been a big fine

Let's see, I've been very lucky to have been on several cruises, Alaska, Carribean, Baltics, Mediterranean, Canadian Rockies and Alaska. If you ever get a chance to see the Canadian Rockies be sure to go. It was a great bus/train tour. Of course I've been to Canadian fishing trips over 15 times does that count?
My Baltic crusie included a stayover in St. Petersburg Russia and London England both very nice stops. I was very impressed with the Russian palaces.

just here and Canada for me, born and raised a country bumpkin, had never been on a plane before my first trip to Australia, but as usual, I go whole hog with everything, sometimes I question whether it's a blessing or a curse...lol...Razz

and I've also been told where to go...quite often in fact...I just laugh and say " well, you send me a postcard when you get there, and I might drop in if it looks nice" which then ends up with a backlash of more choice words in retaliation...sticks and stones...sticks and stones Razz LOL...I'm a natural redhead, and have been told we give new meaning to the word **bit_h**, but my take on that is, someone has to be, and it may as well be me! Seriously I'm sweeter than honey, or at least DH thinks so...just opinated and speak my mind sometimes before I really think it through...but sheesh, I can't have chocolate, never drank coffee, and soft drinks don't come in my house...those 3 things alone should be enough for this gal to be entiled to a lil' crankiness...hehe...

Anyway... how did YOU come up with your board name? This inquiring mind wants to know Smile

I grew up in a small town of 1200 and loved it dearly! Now, live in a suburb of Kansas City and it's OK, but not small town Iowa!

I love my Kindle. "Real" books are ok, but I don't like the feel of the paper when it gets old! For some reason, it just feels dirty to me! lol

I was registering for a yahoo e-mail account. Nothing worked. DS walked in after another failure and suggested KeepYouInStitches. For e-mail, I added the last two digits from my year of birth. Here I dropped them.

It can be taken two ways - either I'm stitching or trying to be funny. Actual stitching fits better because I'm not always considered funny. Big Grin

When I joined here I tried many sewing/quilting related names... none would work. Years ago a friend shortened my name and called me Malou instead of Marylou. It worked to get on here!

We were on vacation so missed answering a couple questions...

I LOVE THIS THREAD!!!!!!!

Live in country but not far nuff out. Love to fish but don't care if I catch anything. Don't want a Kindle, Nook or any newfangles dee-vice. Love the feel of a good page turner. My late DF started me loving Christm@s but it doesn't matter what you call it as long as you respect it..know what I mean? My board name comes from 2 things..my son dated a girl with 3 children & they called me GeeGee cause they could pronounce my real name of Regina. Course the 2nd was due to me being G. G.

Alright ladies, let's hear some more!!
