Great blocks ladies. I like your block Handie Ann,I think it is a keeper. I won't have this month's done as I am leaving Friday to go to Indy to visit DD#2 and then on to Branson, so I am kind of in overload here getting ready and the DH just announced we are going to breakfast. So will do some last minute things today and tomorrow.
So see some of you in Branson.

Anael, sorry about your BF and hope you will be fine. The blocks are all so pretty. Don't think you need to redo anything on yours Handie Ann. Looking forward to meeting some of you in Branson.
Crazy'boutquilts,I am getting ready for the retreat and can't wait to meet you. All who are not coming to the retreat, keep working on your blocks. Hope we can have a large number of them done by the end of Sept. Sue

AND... Have a great time at the retreat (if you are lucky enough to be attending in Branson)! It was the most fun time (Portland COF '10). But went by much too fast!
Thank you all for your hugs and comfort. I try keeping it together.
I injured my wrist last Friday and wasn't able to do anything anymore! I started to fuse some appliques today and that went well so I hope tomorrow or the day after I'm able to rotary cut again. I might even be able to finish the September block in time.
I hope you all have a great time in Branson!

Anael - you have definitely not been having a good month.
I haven't done anything with Sept block - hopefully I can at least get the main block done when we get home from Branson - leaving in the morning bright and early.

I have not done anything with the Sept block either. I hope to get the directions printed out this weekend. Looks like it will be "down to the wire" again! Hope to get it done this month )
I don't know which months these are for, but I got two more done this week! You may notice a few spots where I "did my own thing" again using leftovers from previous projects. Hopefully, I'll be able to finish all of them by the end of the year.
Thank you alexemmarose! I had to use my ripper quite a lot on this one. The borders on the main block were too small, I sewed the flying geese together sideways to mention some mistakes I made. But it's done and I'm glad. Now I still have to make the June block!

Thanks for the encouragement as I work to catch up. I'm really liking the looks of these blocks. I now have one more big block put together. It turned out a little too small but I think I'll just cut the border for it slightly larger instead of remaking the block.
Just returned from the retreat on Tue. Had a Blast. Turned on the computer for the first time tonight, checking on the BOM's. Pvillelou, you have done amazing blocks in a very short span of time. Great job. Anael, love your Sept. block. Glad you were able to finish it. Sue

Thank you all for your compliments on my September block!
I just visited my youngest son and DIL. My DIL is pregnant again and today they found out they're going to have twins!!! I might get busy The first one I wanted to call and tell the good news was my now ex bf, I still have to get used to not talking to him anymore, he always was the first to hear any news. It's weird having those mixed feelings, happy and sad at the same time.

Oh my goodness, Twins?? Twice the fun and twice the work.Bet you are really going to be busy now. Just ask all of us for advice if you need help deciding what to make next. It is fun sewing for babies. Pat
I wish Patty! My DIL only likes store bought stuff. I offered to make my grandson cute jeans with embroidered pocket peekers (among other things I would love to make) but she never got back to me on it. The only thing she likes is the wallhanging I made when Mick was born. I said a few times I could make him a quilt but she told me he doesn't like blankets Maybe I should just go ahead and make something? I'm not sure what to do.

Oh that is sad, I can understand how you feel, my DIL has told me a number of times that she doesn't need anymore blankets, but when the grands ask for something I always make it. I also make my son things that he mentions. If she doesn't like it Oh Well. I enjoy making them and once she gets them, she can't do anything about it. LOL
I'll have to wait because my grandson is too young to ask. He's 19 months old now. But I can make one and give it to him LOL. She can't refuse that - I hope!

I'm working on mine tonight. The good thing about being so late....I'll still have my fabrics out on October 1st, so maybe I'll get October done sooner!!
Post your block, and we will include you in the September Finishers, Sew Happy. We both (CBQ & I) will be outta town 'til next week sometime... in totally different directions! But one of us will catch up the list for last-minute-finishers.
Hope to get Sept. block finished today. Finished projects yesterday and ready to get back to BOM.
Crazy few months here, 1st grandbaby is due end of Oct. I've made a couple baby quilts, baby room curtains, and crib dust ruffle!! Time to get back to my other projects.
Talk about getting it done in the Nick of Time!!! I just finished my block and it's almost time for the Packer game, so I'd better post it quick. It is straight it just doesn't look like it in the picture. Pat
I am glad to see 3 more Sept. BOM done. Nice job by Chlynn 1125, Patty J and Sew Happy. The post is out for the Oct. BOM and I will have to check it out. Sue

I am caught up Yah! All four of the months that I had not done are complete including September. AND the main block of October and the 5 larger boarder blocks are done. I will post that later this week when I finish it.
Thanks, I like some better than others, but I'll have to see what they look like together, it could be interesting This message has been edited. Last edited by: DJBrown,
JDBrown- Great job on getting caught up on all the blocks and you even started the Oct. Block. Good for you. Ilove your color combination and it should look great when all 12 are placed together. Sue

DJ - you are on my hero list I'm guessing I won't get caught up by the end of the year Still I've had a lot of fun and will continue to try through the end of the year. The goal was to do as much as I could and not fall into a super slump and that's worked out!

Well to be honest, I had no real plan to get caught up, but I decided I needed to have something to take to the retreat. So I spent a weekend kitting the four blocks up. I didn't get much sewing done during the week I was gone (who saw that comming ).
But having them kitted gave me the incentive to get them done. Now I can't wait to see this top together.
