Sandy, I didn't have a pattern for the leaf. I saw several on line that I liked and chose to draw this one in EQ7. Here's the size I chose because I already had lots and lots of 2 1/2" strips. The dimensions are the cutting sizes. This message has been edited. Last edited by: EvelynB,
Evelyn, thank you for providing the pattern for that lovely quilt. I'll save it right now. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Florida Farm Girl,
Love everyone's eye candy! Thanks, Evelyn, for the pattern for the leaf. I used your great directions to do a boot quilt and your pattern information was wonderful! Susan

Sorry, Sandy. Had so many problems finishing the leaves I forgot that one. http://www.heirloomcreations.n...the-jelly-roll-1600/ Our guild had a speaker demo this quilt and I couldn't wait to try it. I don't buy jelly rolls so cut my own. Since these florals are so large and I'm lazy, I cut them 3" wide. Using the method in the video I used 70 strips cut at 3" to get a queen size top. I made another since I'd cut too many strips. Then I cut some strips 3 1/2" wide and used about 95 strips to make my king size quilt. If the top isn't big enough you can add one strip at a time. If you're making the lap quilt with a jelly roll it takes about 40 minutes to make a top. Fast and color coordinated.
Thanks, Sandy. I've been in love with large florals but used them mostly as borders. This one has a green border and the king size has a black with flowers. Wish I'd seen this when the state flower fabric was popular.
