    August - Four Patch Ladder
    http://www.quilterscache.com/F/FourPatchLadderBlock.html

Don't know about the rest of you, but I can't believe it's August already. The year and especially this summer is flying fast.

This block didn't take long to do. Wanted to keep it simple with the busy summer months.

Enjoy! Looking forward to seeing completed blocks.

For anyone just joining in - here's the 2007 block list:

    January - Shooting Star

    February - Buckeye Beauty

    March - Goose Creek

    April - Michigan

    May - Tennessee

    June - Roman Stripes

July - Jacobs Strings * for this one you need to read the thread for the instructions

    Here's my block.

    AUGUST Eek already??
Well I am still behind. I haven't done June or July yet, but I do have a good excuse. I have been busy here and there but I also have been fighting with morning sickness. It hasn't gone away yet, but I think I'm getting to end of it...I hope.
Looks like another great block this month. I hope to get time mid-month to get this and the previous months done. Looking forward to seeing all the great combinations again this month.

Hmmmmmm, I'm a little better than you missmikol. I only have one project left over from July, the Scraps to Treasure Challenge. lolllll

Really like the looks of this block done scrappy, Elaine. And it shouldn't be too hard to do since the center is the same as last month's. We should have gotten that down pat in July. Right?

This should work great with my scrappies. I need to think about where the background will go in this one.

I like the way the blocks sort of reflect each other without being exactly the same. The sampler blocks are going to look great together in a quilt (or in a UFO box Roll Eyes ) SmileGood choices.

Pauprint - yep, the center is the same. I've tried to pick blocks that have a 'pair' that are similar - will complement each other.

Having trouble with 2 of them - but think I've narrowed it down.

"complement" ~~ that's the word I was trying to think of. Smile It wouldn't come to me for anything earlier tonight. Razz

Yes, Elaine, I like the "complementation" of the blocks. Big Grin or Complementarianism?? Confused

Phew, just got back from vacation and had to go searching for this thread. Almost forgot about it being August already.

This will be too cute with my "Back to School" theme. I can see pencils, school busses, stop signs etc...

Now I have to get all my August projects organized.

Whoaaaaa, I have enough trouble trying to figure out the blocks, now you want me to figure out words?????? Good suggestions, Kay-Lin. lolllll

Ealine: Guess I wasn't paying attention with the other blocks, the similarity of these two just stood out for some reason. Great idea, though.

Well, I've been away from the computer and when I signed on today expected to see some pictures..

I know - it's a gorgeous (in most areas) beautiful summer and you're all too busy to do the BOM. Well, eventually when you start making the blocks - please post no matter what month it is.

    Love to see the results.

I'm finishing my challenge quilt and swap blocks this week, planning to get this month's BOM block done next week. Only a few weeks left till back to work for me, so I'm trying to cram in a lot!

Must be a slow month again.

I have found the most perfect fabric. Will need to do a lot of fussy cutting, but it will be worth it.

August fabric was the most challenging. The rest of the year will be a breeze!
