I just got off the phone with SueB in Biloxi. She is fine, had a minor power outage yesterday and now is waiting for everything to drain and dry out. Watching the news, it looked like they had worse weather than we did. We were lucky with the power staying on and able to watch movies and use the computer while waiting for the storm to pass. It has been a long, wet, windy, anxious couple of days but we had a little welcome sunshine this afternoon. Been hearing some thunder the last hour or so, tho.

Please send your T&Ps to those who have been flooded and have had to evacuate.

Ellen

Prayers for everyone. A little rain doesn't hurt no one. It's the one's that do not get rain that it hurts. On our trip this past couple of weeks showed us that. Miles and miles of corn just brown! So sad!
Glad to hear many have so much to be thankful for.

I've been praying and will continue to do so.

Some of those low-laying areas are getting more than a little rain. Extremes on either end of the spectrum can be disastrous.

Ellen, so glad to hear you're okay. We didn't have any power outages either, just anxious times wondering what was going to happen. Turns out, not much. Coulda saved myself all the worry.

Its so sad to see so many placed inundated with water again though.

So glad to hear you're all OK, Ellen and Sue. I was a little concerned about the amount of rain that was coming down. If hurricanes don't take the top off your house, they sneak up on you with too much water and flood the house from the bottom! Still praying for the ones who are affected.

DH checked the rain gauge today and we got only 2 1/2 inches during the storm!! At least it is enough to keep from having to turn the sprinklers on. Smile
