Yea, I tuned in! She will be visiting our guild in March of next year. For a while I was concerned that there had been a change of plans Frown, but all is well and she will be doing a lecture and workshop Big Grin.

Jill--wanna trot over to Houston for March 5th . . . could be a quick getaway and mini-retreat.

Cool

You better watch out...It wouldn't take much to get me over there. I still haven't been to the quilt museum in LaGrange...it's kinda on the way!

I love Bonnie Hunter's stuff. I can't imagine being able to see her in person!

What is the workshop?

I need to check with our program person for the guild about that. I'm wanting to get a quilt top done from Bonnie's site before she comes in March . . . I haven't started yet Eek

You could go to La Grange on Monday and then head here . . . or we could meet in La Grange and come here Smile. Spend the night on Monday--workshop on Tuesday and guild meeting on Tuesday night. Then you could head home on Wednesday. Sounds like a plan!

Should I get the ChocoVine and All American Cake ready?

One of the rows from Jeff's quilt from her site! Which quilt of hers are you going to do?

I could do any or all of that!!! I just saw a different chocolate wine at HEB the other night. I thought of you and wondered if you had tried that one?!!

Just dawned on me...I have blocks sitting in a basket from the only project I've done with cut up shirts. I'm going to finish it! Again, one of her patterns!

I'm planning to do Bricks & Stepping Stones. I know that you have made that one before--maybe several times?

Who is singing along with her? Bye, bye Miss American Pie . . .

Get that quilt finished up from the shirts and bring it along for show and tell! Really! Check your calendar and it would be great to have you come over. I'll have the guest room ready and the sewing room clean.

I tried to get KC to come down during Bonnie's time here, but Bonnie will be going to Maine in early May next year. I tried!

I'm going to put it on my calender. I hope you're serious because I am excited about it!

Don't clean your sewing room though! You won't be able to find anything after you do that! I'll feel right at home if the room looks 'sewn in'! LOL!

Oh, I am definitely serious--and very excited about it! My kids will want to talk your ear off and show you e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g. We will have so much fun! Guess that I should get neeedlecrazy and ~~Tx~~Wildflower to put the meeting on their calendars too.

The sewing room is in need of some much needed help and I'm in the middle of fixing it now. That process has been done oodles of times, but it is just right this time Smile.

I have so many bricks from my swap that I made two with the brights for the charity (kids).

Bonnie is coming to Maine in May, 2013. She mentioned on the webcast that she has a Land's End bag she uses for her travels--we can't have that, can we? So I am sending her a pink LL Bean bag with her name on it.

Love your bright Bricks & Stepping Stones, KC.

She definitely can't travel to L.L. Bean Country with a Land's End bag Eek. I do hope that she will leave it at home in favor of the lovely bag that you're sending her. That is so sweet!

Am*en to that! Smile

This is a fantastic pattern--and quick! I used my 2 1/2" squares from the swap and trimmed them down after sewing in the leader and ender method. I think she should change the name to Matchsticks!

Yours are great too, Jill. Were you working on the 4 patch units for the twins' quilts at the Houston mini-retreat? I seem to remember that, but don't recall ever seeing the finished quilts.

Thanks for the kind words. Yes, I did work on those b/w blocks at that retreat, in between talking to everybody! I bought some of the pinks and purples on the shopping trip that Carol brought me on!

I already got my 'Scraps and Shirttails' book out. I'm thinking I'll bring it with me and have her sign it!

Did she ever find the block that disappeared on her? I couldn't stay up any longer last night if I wanted to get to work today. Smile And I realized that I had enough missing stuff of my own - it was silly to wait up watching for someone else's to turn up. Big Grin

Nope, she never found it. She was thinking it might have gone behind a dresser. Did you see the part where she even turned her chair upside down? It was funny!

That was my first time to see one of those and I loved it! Glad to know that I'm not the only one to lose something that I just had!

She was probably right about it falling into the "black hole". I have a space behind my sewing table and there is no telling how many spools of thread might have gotten down there. I have it set up differently than I did in the past, so things are easier to reach if they fall, but I have been down on the floor before with a flashlight and opened up wire hanger to retrieve things!

Maybe she will devote an entire webcam episode to excavating the black hole--like Geraldo going into Al Capone's vault Cool.

I checked her blog to see if it has been "uncovered" yet, but nothing. I guess we will have to pay more attention to watch her every move, lol!

We were just talking about the Geraldo Rivera/Al Capone thing last week. Seems so funny, but my son didn't know about it!

I had placed an order for Perfect Hexies with Bonnie yesterday a.m. and she emailed me back tonight that she is waiting for a new shipment.

I told her we on the HGTV boards are dying to know if she found that missing piece! She says no, and with her flooring project, she doesn't expect to look for it this weekend. She does, however, hopes her husbandsd takes a break so she can get on the webcam over the weekend!

I also mentioned she had a great signing voice and to belt out the song the next time! Smile
