My dd asked me to make her prom dress this year Eek (her last prom). So for the last month we've been picking fabric, sewing and fitting the dress and now it's done. Prom was last night and she was happy with how it turned out. Smile Here's a pic....

Outstanding! I love it. And such a great looking couple. Having done DGD's last prom dress in March, I know what goes into making something this special. Don't be surprised many years down the road when you have a DGD and she also requests that you make her prom dresses.

Repeating what everyone else has said--beautiful picture and everyone is right--she'll remember it forever--I think my DD still has hers that I made for her--it was her favorite and she just turned 46 last Jan.

She's just as pretty as the dress is! I hope you (she) will always keep the dress. I wish I had the maternity dresses (yes, dresses!) that my MIL made for me in the 60's...just to get them out and admire her work.

Dang, that's haute couture! Your daughter is quite stunning in it. My mom made my prom dress and I felt like a princess in it. Maybe my DD will want me to make hers in 2 years.

that is absolutely beautiful and it fits beautiful. if u enjoyed the process, you should think about making irish stepdancing dresses. they are getting $1,000 to $3000 for them in ireland. i know this because we had one made for my daughter that was $1600...(it didn't fit) check out this link to see them for sale: http://www.dance-again.com/
